Our house on the former fisherman village, Klima, with two floors is situated directly by the sea. Open your door and go for a swim. The area is ideal for families or groups that wish a peaceful and idyllic vacation by the sea.

The space

The house is a renovated traditional fisherman house with two floors with excellent view and access to the sea in just a few meters from the house door. The area is very peaceful and ideal for an idyllic vacation by the sea.

Guest access

You reach the village by car form the harbor or the airport. One has to park about 100 meters from the beach where the road meets a dead end. Just walking about 100 meters you come to the house. Number of the house is 40.

Interaction with guests

The owner, Manolis, and his wife, Roula, live nearby on Plaka, and are always available for anything you need within minutes.

Other things to note

There is a small plastic boat for 2 persons for riding on the beach in front of the house. Then, there is the boat, shown in the pictures, for sailing the area further off the beach. A small fee, depending on the case, and after agreement will be paid to the owner, who will be the skipper too.

This was everything we had hoped it would be -and more. All the glowing reviews you read are true, and it really is as good as it looks in the photos. Manolis, (the host) could not have been more helpful, meeting us at the port and assisting with car hire and suggestions of places to visit while we were there. On arrival he gave us a bottle of wine, there was water chilling in the fridge, and little things like salt and pepper, butter potions, olive oil and the like. The location is picture-postcard perfect, and there were as many locals there as there were tourists like us. You WILL need a car, there is only one restaurant in the village, and no shop within easy walking distance. Highly recommended!

Our stay in Klima at this home was a very unique and special experience which we would highly recommend. Manolis met us at the local restaurant, 2 minutes walk from the Airbnb syrma, and showed us around. Klima is rustic but beautiful with gorgeous sunsets. His place is on a strip of beach which allows you to walk straight in to the sea 5 steps from your doorstep. It's big and spacious with 3 rooms (2 doubles, 1 twin room). Two bathrooms and plenty of towels etc. It was very clean and there was everything you could need in the kitchen for self catering. It was just lovely to sit out under the trees or on the top balcony which is a sun trap at certain times of the day. The only 'noise' is the local neighbours chatter and the cats, but at night you can sleep with the sound of the sea. There is snorkels, boogie boards etc in the house. And you can use the small red boat if you wish.(not the one on the photos). Plaka and Tripiti is less than 10 minutes drive but it's up a steep hill so car/scooter recommended. Local supermarket in Adamas and Triovasalos. Both Plaka and Tripiti has great restaurant/cafe options, Manolis recommended in Plaka Cafe Utopia for coffee/sundowners ( beautiful view), Diporto (we tried, was good), Placia and Foras. In Tripiti we found Ergina and next door place take away food for less than €3, you will see the pictures of pita's etc in the wall. The restaurant in Klima very nice too, lovely setting. All and all a very good location from where to explore Milos. The house although basic was very tidy, clean and welcoming. Only suggestion would be that new mattresses are probably needed as the one's upstairs are on the uncomfortable side, but for a few nights it was fine. The only way up and down in house is via two steep staircases, We only used the outside one as was easier, bit good to know for anyone with mobility problems or heavily pregnant etc. Check out was easy and Manolis was there to see us off. We would definitely return to this Syrma as it was so special, like living in a postcard with all the day trippers walking by looking on enviously. All in all, 5 stars

Thanks for a wonderful stay. Manolis and George were so helpful and organised a last minute hire car for us and a boat trip for the girls. Klima is magical. No words can describe it!

My husband and I went to stay at the Milos apartments for our honeymoon. We did some island hopping and ended up in this most magical place. Our super lovely hosts met us at the port and drove us to the apartment. They were extremely kind and helpful making us feel very at home. The whole setting is exactly what you are looking for, with the little boathouse set right on the beach. There is some great snorkeling to be done on both extremities of the beach, with the fallen antique ruines under water. There's a great new restaurant that just opened very close to the house where you can enjoy a very romantic dinner for two right under the moon and stars. But my husband and I also liked just cooking in the generous kitchen and feasting just outside with the sound of the waves. We would recommend you hiring a car so you can go and discover the rest of the island, although we could never find a better spot that the one we were staying in. There are loads of Tavernas everywhere for amazing food! So just book this place before someone else does or before I book it again!

This is a really unique place to stay - Klima may look postcard pretty in the photos but actually it is not really quaint or twee; it feels like a real fishing village. The house is right on the edge of the water, very spacious and equipped with everything you need. The sunsets are unbelievable - and make sure you have wander up and down in the moonlight too. The owners were delightful. They were there within minutes when we needed them and they were utterly charming. You definitely do need wheels. There are no tavernas or shops in the village and it's a steep walk up to Tripiti and Plaka, but there is souvlaki delivery available, which was amazing, cheap and arrived on a scooter really quickly! Make sure you go to Plathiena beach. We tried most of the beaches on the island and that was by far our favourite.
