We loved our stay here. I highly recommend it over any hotel. Not only is it cheaper, but it's a great experience. This is our new go-to spot when we stay in the area. I would recommend you bring an inflatable mattress to put on the roof if the weather permits. We regret not bringing a fishing pole. Some geese and ducks will most likely pay you a visit so have some feed for them if you want. If sleeping on a futon doesn't agree with your back, slide the mattress onto the floor, we slept great. Also, there is a rope on the back of the boat so if you have a little raft or tube, you can secure your self to the boat. Just keep your limbs out of the water in the morning, lots of jelly fish. Hospitality was off the charts! :)

Ron is one of the easiet hosts to communicate with that I've ever dealt with. The houseboat was very cute, and I want to share a very specific story. I was traveling with my daughter, who is 14. She is usually very hard to get out of bed before 10am. The first morning we were there, my daughter woke me up at 5;15 in the morning yelling that I had to come up on the roof to see the sunrise. It was spectacular. My daughter and I had one of the most memorable and beautiful mornings in my life spending the next 20 minutes watching the harbor turn brilliant shades of pink yellow and orange. What a not-to-be-missed experience!

Ron's boat is a great place to relax for a while in a very calm and picturesque marina on an inlet. We went swimming each day (water isn't especially clean but very warm) and spent lots of time on the deck just tanning and enjoying the spot. Ron wasn't around but communication was very good via the marina managers as well. Highly recommended if you want something different!

I've stayed on Ron's boat for a week and even experienced a first winter storm aboard, it was a unique and romantic experience. The boat is an excellent place to escape the madness of NYC for a while. She is conviniently located within walking distance from Brick's plaza where you can find all imaginable restaurants, shops and bus #137 to NYC. She's been noticeably renovated, but she is not a new boat, keep it in mind while planning your adventure. Overall, I have had great time staying there.

The boat and location are great! It was simple and exactly what we needed for the weekend. Only downside was that the water in the bathroom was shut off for the duration of our stay. Our host was sincerely apologetic and responsive to this matter, so our stay was not ruined. It was clean, tidy, and quiet. I would stay here again.

Thanks Ron and Anna for a great weekend! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves even despite the rain and some drips one morning. Small but cozy and quite close to the beach. We even were lucky enough to catch a show at the American Legion across the water as we sat on the deck one night! It felt great to sleep with the windows and doors open and catch the summer breeze.
