Built in 1800 with an interesting history, Stonelands House retains its original character. Light and airy rooms overlooking an attractive garden. located very near to road and ferry links, it is the ideal place from which to explore the Island.
Stonelands House offers quit and private accommodation for up to six guest. With a pretty house front, large drive and sunny garden, Stonelands reflects the Georgian/Victorian era. The room is approximately 18ft x 9ft and is situated at the back of the house. There is one double bed and one single bed. The room has a dressing table, chest of drawers, bedside tables and a wardrobe. Tea and coffee making facilities are in the room. A private shower room is close by. A light breakfast is included in the price.

We want guests to feel comfortable and familiarise themselves with the layout of the ground floor of the house and garden and use these areas freely.
Interaction with guests
We are happy to interact with all our guests and take great pleasure in meeting and talking with our visitors. We can provide helpful information about all the local amenities and attractions if requested. We also understand that some of our guests may prefer greater privacy and to that end we will always respect their wishes.
There are coastal walks minutes away from the house. We are within easy reach of the historic Quarr Abbey and Ryde sea front and Victorian shopping parades.
A small shop and post office are a five minute walk away as is the local pub.
Stonelands House is hidden behind trees but is close to the main A3054 Ryde to Newport road.
We are served by regular buses making this an ideal location for accessing public transport and are also close to the main ferry ports of Fishbourne and Ryde. East Cowes ferry terminal is six miles away.
A twenty minute walk to the seaside town of Ryde we are an ideal location for those with or without their own transport
Other things to note
We are happy to serve light breakfasts between 9.00am until 10am. If you would like us to serve an earlier breakfast then please let us know by 10pm the night before. Alternatively, if you prefer "do it yourself" then you are welcome to make use of the guest fridge in the kitchen to find your chilled breakfast products and help yourself to tea, coffee, cereal and toast.
Smoking is permitted in the garden.
We are not able to take pets.
We ask that guests do not eat meals in the bedroom. With prior notice guests are welcome to use the kitchen to prepare and eat light meals or have a takeaway.
We have recently bought Stonelands House and know it is just right for sharing. My sister and I both former teachers have grown up children and now have the time to enjoy gardening cooking reading and writing. We love exploring the beautiful Isle of Wight with its music festivals and arts events.
We have an elderly cat called Patch.
