Beautifully furnished one-bedroom guest suite in a central, but quiet, location and within walking distance of most tourist attractions - also a good bus service is nearby.

The guest suite is a real home from home - comfortable for up to three people. It is part of my home but is a private space. As I live in the same building, I am available if you need help or advice.

PARKING: you MUST let me know if you plan to bring a car BEFORE booking. The available parking won't suit everyone.

The space
Wonderful Georgian guest suite in Edinburgh's New Town. The apartment is comfortable and well appointed - it's a home from home. There is a double bed settee in the lounge, so the apartment is suitable for a family, but please note that the bathroom is ensuite to the bedroom.

We provide a welcome pack of food on your arrival so that you can have breakfast without having to go to the shops.

Guest access
Guests enter the guest suite via a shared hall for the building. The guest suite is on the Lower Ground Floor, and this is not the same as a basement - the apartment is full of light. There are about 6 steps to the front door and then one flight of stairs down to the apartment.

Other things to note
Please note that I don't accept hen or stag party groups.

No events, parties or loud music are allowed. Nor can the guest suite be used as a base for people who are not guests, e.g, wedding party preparations.

The guest suite is strictly non-smoking, and no pets are allowed. Children are very welcome.

The maximum number of guests for this apartment is 3, including children. Edinburgh City Council Licensing rules require that guest names are provided at the time of booking.

The New Town of Edinburgh is a beautiful part of town, full of spacious stone built homes with large rooms and high ceilings. We are a stone's throw from all the amenities you could want without all the noise. We are 5 minutes from Princes Street and 15 minutes from the castle. Nearby Broughton Street is handy for shopping and a Tesco Metro is within 5 minutes walk.

I love living in Edinburgh - one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Everything is within walking distance as long as you don't mind the hills! I recently retired as a manager at a local university and am enjoying my new freedom. I love films, theatre and swimming and I've been known to see more than 40 shows during the Edinburgh Festival - it just requires organisation and persistence! I'm a homebody at heart and keen on interior design - particularly in finding ways for the old and new to work together. My apartments are definitely an expression of me.
