Ann-Marie's place is clean enough and ideally located for an internship at NASA Goddard. The price did seem a bit high for a small room in a decent, but not fancy house, where there was constant TV noise and occasional loud voices at night on the weekends. I think I would have …

Response from Ann-Marie:
Heidi, I had no idea you felt so uncomfortable staying at my home. I was taken by surprise with all your comments. You stated that you felt you did not get value for your money due to a small room. The size of your room was a 12x12 with a Queen size Ashley brand headboard with mattress, a dresser, TV, computer stand and a semi walk-in closet. I changed your bedding, cleaned your room/bathroom on a regular basis. You had access to the living area if you did not want to stay in your room. You also had access to use the kitchen, which you took full advantage of baking bread, cookies, pizza’s almost every weekend. You would spend a lot of time on the deck having breakfast, lunch or dinner. You had access to a free bike I provided to help you get around at your leisure. I even had asked one of the other Interns, if they would be able to transport you to & from work which they did, probably free of charge. You had a friend come & spend a weekend with you during your stay and yet you stated that you were not comfortable. Everything was at your convenience and I worked really hard to keep the place clean at all times. If you had any issues about the room, TV playing or loud voices at night you did not address it with me. My home is pretty quiet most of the time, so every now & then you would hear a voice or TV as this is a family home, not a hotel. Furthermore, the price you paid for 10 wks stay would have been 2-3 times higher if you had stayed in Washington DC, so paying $39 a night was a steal. If the service I provided was not up to your standard, you should have told me and I would have broken your contract so you could have left.

The location of Ann-Marie's place is great for NASA Goddard interns - I rode a bike everyday. It is also near two metro stations (about 3 miles), which made it convenient to go to Washington D.C.. Her & her family are very friendly and helpful, and her place is kept very nice. Th…

The Masters were great hosts. My first day they welcome me with a great tour of the house. Gave me scoop on what was around the area. AnnMarie makes a great breakfast. The neighborhood was safe. Will stay again .

Comfortable, Clean, Safe My wife and I stayed with Glen and Ann-Marie for 5 weeks. The house is very, very clean, well-maintained and comfortable. In fact, my wife doesn't think the pictures do the house justice as they were unable to capture the warmth, comfort and hospitality …
