We had a great stay and really enjoyed the house. We got there very late and the host was there waiting to show us around. There was also a table full of food for snacks and the next morning. They were so considerate that they even when the extra mile by getting Gluten free and dairy free food for my youngest soon. Way above the call of duty. One note for those new to the island. The House is on the North side of the island and the main beaches are towards the South. If you are looking for a rural stay in the mountains, I could not recommend this host more highly.

This is a really lovely old house - one of three connected holiday houses in a beautiful location right at the end of a tiny rural road. The owner is friendly and generous and very welcoming. There is a big double bedroom with a sofa and a balcony, and a smaller twin bedroom upstairs, and a sitting/ dining room with a small kitchen and bathroom off it downstairs. There is also an outdoor area with BBQ, sink, table and chairs. Everything was clean. A cot had been provided for our son. Fruit and wine had been left for us when we arrived and the owner popped round occasionally during our stay to check that we were comfortable. The house is half way between the coast (20 mins to Guia) and the incredible mountains of the interior. There's a bus stop at the top of the road, but a car is definitely a good idea if you want to use the house as a base to explore from!

Beautiful house in very pretty surroundings, quiet and nice people. We were welcomed with wine, cheese and cookies. The house is very comfortable in the colder winter days with floor heating. Very spacious sleeping rooms, and a very nice shower. The kitchen is a little small, so can be a challenge to make a more sophisticated dinner! We really enjoyed our stay.

It was great! One week being totally in a different world, with the most amazing view, surrounded with fruit trees. The house is very well equipped, perfectly clean and very comfortable. Carmelo personally picked us up from the local village nearby (the location is difficult to find) and welcomed us with, wine, fresh baked breads and sweets for our to little girls. Thank you for the hospitality. We would love to come back! Carmen

Jose and the owner of the house was very helpful and friendly! There was homemade bread, quality cheese and redwine set for as when we arrived. House was 12km from the main road and in very friendly and quite neighbourhood. I recommend this house to travelers who want to have their own peace. You HAVE to rent a car if you want to spend your holiday here, i think nothing else is an option. By car its easy to visit different parts of the island. Example you drive to las palmas or puerto de las nieves in 30 minutes or to maspalomas in 75 minutes. If you want to stay close, there is a two little restaurants and a grocery store in a little town 3km away from the house, it takes only 10 minutes to drive there. There was everything you need in the house! We had barbecue in the courtyard and ate outdoors in the candlelight, it was pretty nice!

This is a delightful traditional house that has been tastefully restored in a quiet and peaceful rural setting. It had everything we needed and Carmelo is a charming and thoughtful host. We made good use of the hiking poles provided. We enjoyed a great visit to Gran Canaria.
