Wow David's place is amazing. We stayed there for 3 nights and really loved it. The place is full of character and beautiful wooden art. The fact that he built the place himself also adds to its charm. In general it had everything we needed and if you read the house manual you wi…

Beautiful setting! A few snafus which David quickly responded to. Suggest bringing ice for the cooler as fridge is small & not as cold as could be. Also bring a jug of water if you expect to use more than 5 gallons. Beautifully hand carved furnishings. Peaceful!

Response from David:
You’ve got to be kidding. The generator has been flawless for two years. Same with the instant hot water. With the summer drought, water conservation is a must. Somehow the tank went dry and it should not have. I think I had to fix something on the tank so it is working great now but collecting less than 25 gal a day. What happened to my no guns sign?

Lovely location. Quiet and isolated. It's July so we did not need the wood stove and made all our food on the propane grill which also has a regular burner attachment (so you can heat up things in pots).

I used to make money but now I make furniture. Incorporating the free or natural edge of beautifully figured Western Maple I harvest sustainably from the local forests on the North Olympic Peninsula. See Go figure.
