The house was built in 1948, and close by the Port of Wilmington. It has been renovated, and is nice and cozy now. 10 minutes away from downtown and 20 minutes from local beaches. Pretty sweet spot, located in a quiet, yet centralized neighborhood.
Located in Historic Sunset Park neighborhood that is adjacent to the Cape Fear River. It was a neighborhood that was built in the early 1900s, next to the state port, which still thrives today.
It is 10 minutes from local downtown bars, restaurants, and the scenic River Walk. It is also close to a bus line. The beaches (Wrightsville, Carolina, and Kure) are about 20 minutes away.
Sunset Park is an eclectic mixture of people, housing young families, local artists and musicians, to elderly folks. It has a feeling, where everyone looks after one another.
Guests will have access to utilize the guestroom (naturally), the restroom (of course), kitchen and laundry area, as well as the living room to watch TV or just hang out. The kitchen also has a table/chairs to sit back and enjoy some food, drink coffee, or chill for a while and read a book.
Interaction with guests
I will be available to assist with anything guests may need, from directions, to setting up wifi, and making coffee.
I love talking to people and recommending local hot spots.
We are LGBTQ friendly at this house, and welcome anyone to come stay!
Other things to note
Parking is available and on site. It is also close to the bus line.
I do have cats, and think they are super cute.
I expect people to be respectful of my pets, and the place where they stay. If you have a question about anything, please don't hesitate to ask.

I have lived in Wilmington for 10 years, and love this town! I work a lot as a mental health therapist, but when I am not working, I am pretty active and love to be outdoors.
I hope that guests will feel welcomed in my home, and feel that they can relax and come and go as they please. So, I like to think I am pretty laid back, but most people do, don't they? ;) Simply put, I think it's important to be kind to everyone, as you don't know where they have been or what they've gone through in their life. It will be interesting to be a host so I can meet new people and learn about their travels.
I have two cats that I love, and hope others do as well. Not everyone loves cats, I realize, but they are sweet.
