Jackie is kind. But bedroom, bathroom and kitchen need to be cleaned. Just for one night sleep with little money, that's fine.but so far from downtown in chicago. If you don't have tight budget, it is better to come closer to downtown.

Jackie was very good in making me feel welcome. His generosity and availability was very good. The apartment was good and had whatever i needed. Unfortunately I went during a week when it was REALLY hot and this place does not have A/C but it does have a ceiling fan. The fan should suffice on most days but for extremely hot days, it can become tough. The place was close to the El train (about 5-7min walk). Food places are somewhat of a walk though but overall it is a good and quiet neighborhood. Definitely recommend!

Jackie is a very kind, intelligent guy. He was a pleasure to talk to while I was there. He was very responsive in his communication and helped accommodate me quickly. It is a simple place, but it's the cheapest place on airbnb in the area and it's totally comfortable. Jackie's roommate was also super personable and friendly. He helped me navigate the area.

Jackie was great! When trying to travel Chicago on a budget, his apartment was perfect for what it advertised. The accommodations while sparse provided everything one might need if you’re not going to be spending anytime at a hotel/in the room. A few days before my trip Jackie was in touch and sought to offer perfect directions to get to his home via public transit, he picked me up down the street from his home, provided a tour of the apartment provided me with a key and set me on my way. Jackie checked in on me several times to see if there was any additional tips or advice he could give me. Jackie was incredibly responsive and a pleasure.

Jackie sorted me out with a room pretty last minute, which was great! It's basic but comfortable - an air sofa in a small room, with closet space. Jackie himself is super helpful and attentive. Evanston is about an hour or so via public transport to The Loop, but altogether quite accessible. Nice area. Highly recommended if you want simple affordable lodgings when visiting Chicagoland!

I'm an Asian American student in a Masters in Robotics program, and I did my undergraduate in Economics. I traveled around East Asia, Southeast Asia, Europe, north Africa, and the States for 5 months in 2014, and am planning trips to New York, East Asia, and northern Europe in 2015. I love relating and connecting to different people, and trying to understand how people think and live. I would love to try your favorite food, music, and hobbies! I also like learning about societies, cultures, and institutions - economic, political, educational, and financial. I have a soft spot for some disadvantaged by institutions.
As a guest, I am neat, quiet, and respectful. You won't have problems with me.
