A most delightful experience staying in Te Awanga with Robbie and Michael. Brand new, clean and modern studio with everything you could ask for and more. Robbie and Michael were over the top welcoming, accommodating and generous. Even let us use bikes for the extensive bike trails nearby. We are grateful for this wonderful chapter of our NZ adventure. Kudos to Robbie and Michael. Highest possible recommendation for others to stay here when in the area.

Our stay at Robbie's place was one of the highlights of our trip in New Zealand. Nestled amongst the wineries and a short walk to the water, the studio was newly built and very clean. While the pool was tempting, we didn't quite find the time to take advantage of it. The second day, I took out one of their road bikes with Robbie's partner Michael and had a great time riding around the vineyards. Robbie then gave us a tour of the wineries of the region prior to dropping us off in Napier to check out some Art Deco stuff. We couldn't have imagined a better Hawkes bay visit and will recommend this place to all of our friends.

We had a lovely time staying at Robbie and Michael's. The studio is quite close to their place (as per the pics) but allows plenty of privacy, with a beautiful backdrop of vineyards and rural Hawke's Bay. On arrival we were warmly greeted and given and excellent bottle of local wine to kick off our stay. The studio itself is very well appointed and had everything you'd need. Thank you again for the warm hospitality - we'd love to come back some time.

Robbie and Michael were fantastic! A last minute booking and they welcomed us with open arms - even supplied a bottle of wine and invited us over for dinner the first night as we forgot it was a public holiday! The place is brand new with great views out into the vineyards as as being very quiet and secluded. Close to all the great wineries some even by foot. At request they even supplied us with road bikes to use to see the local sites for some morning exercise to burn off all the calories from the night before. Cant recommend them highly enough!

Interaction with guests

We'd love to help you enjoy your stay and can offer recommendations for wineries (three within easy walk), cycling, restaurants ...or just how to get the most from your holiday. Because you are self contained, you can have as much...or as little to do with us as you want.

About Robbie

Love: family, laughing, great food and wine, my horse and riding dressage, keeping fit, travel
Blessed with: a husband I adore, a magical place to live, wonderful friends, health
Favourite destinations: anywhere I can indulge my passions and enjoy exploring new places (often by bike) and spending time with locals. Or as a host with guests.
We love having guests and try hard to give each one a special taste of our life and environment. We are aware that your holiday is yours, so it's up to you to have as much or as little to so with us as you want. We like you to feel comfortable enough to walk in our front door without knocking, although we wouldn't dream of coming into your self contained space unless you specifically invited us, or to service the room if needed.
