Interaction with guests
Feel free to enjoy your stay in private, or socialize with our family as schedules allow. We will be available for questions by text or phone.
Other things to note
We are a family friendly residence and have two elementary school aged children of our own.
Please note that our home is not a sound-proof hotel and while we have done some sound reducing additions, noise does travel between the two floors. We live sound conscious above you and hope you will do the same.
The apartment is a smoke-free, pet-free environment, although you may smoke outside. Please enjoy the property and live gently so others may enjoy it in the future.

We have appreciated great hospitality when we have traveled- from staying on the abandoned floor of a restaurant in Istanbul, setting up our tent in Charlie's backyard in Costa Rica, sharing yak butter tea before bed in Tibet, picking pomegranates at a seven generations old ranch in the Arizona wilderness, and plenty of couch surfing coast to coast. We want to return the favors.
We landed in Duluth after living in the Northwest and Southwest to be closer to family, but could only imagine living in Duluth because of the access to outdoor recreation, progressive community, and natural beauty.
Angie does applied theatre work in the community, working with nonprofit organizations using theatre to help them meet their missions in creative ways.
Danny teaches environmental and outdoor education at UMD and volunteers with a variety of nonprofit organizations serving youth and families in the Duluth area.
Our kids, ages 7 and 9 play outside a lot, they like donuts, collect pokemon cards, concoct potions, conduct experiments, fight sometimes, and make us laugh.
We love hosting people because people are interesting. We learn and grow and become better people because of the time we spend with others.
