We loved staying at Antonios place. Angelo met us and helped us with our bags and parking. He was very helpful and answered any questions we had. Angelo takes care of Antonios place and does it well. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived and the fridge was stocked with milk butter and water. There was a plate of fruit on the table and coffee and breakfast items as well. The kitchen is set up to be used and cook in if you like and we did.it was nice to have the option of not having to go out. The local produce is fantastic and we took advantage of that. There are a lot of steps but that is everywhere in Positano. The local people were so wonderful to us! A very sweet man gave me coffee every morning at the top of the stairs. We stayed 4 nights and would definitely go back!

The place is perfect for people who want to enjoy the beauty of positano but also like to live in a quite area. Monte Pertuso is a little village above positano. You have a stunning view from the balcony. The house has everything you need for living. I can highly recommend it!

We had a great time in Montepertuso. The house is beautifully situated next to the long stairs to Positano. The view is worth the climbing. In the rooms we found everything we needed including all necessary equipment for a dinner on the terrace. A supermarket and restaurants (in March only two since the others were still about to open for the high season) are acessible within walking distance.

We stayed at Antonio's apartment from March 23-26, 2017 and cannot thank them enough for this beautiful gem. Antonio's entire family, including his wife, and 3 helpful sons, were so welcoming and attentive to all our questions, given our curiosity and excitement surrounding our 1st visit to Italy. This apartment is perched right above Positano, affording simply stunning sea views from our spacious private kitchen patio (with dining set) and private master bedroom balcony on the 2nd floor! : ) The apartment was impeccably clean, and furnished beautifully, with a fully functional cute little kitchen and dining area. They included lovely touches such as coffee, tea, muffins, milk, butter, toasts, jams and a huge fruit bowl filled with Positano's delicious oranges, as well as apples and pears. Our garden area included lemon trees, rosemary bushes and many colorful flowers. To get to Positano, we chose to walk the nearby steps all the way down into town, which took us 20 minutes because we stopped so often to take jaw-dropping photos of Positano and the Mediterranean Sea from many spots along our walk. On the previous part of our holiday, we visited Lake Como, Portofino, Capri, Rome, and Sorrento and we felt the the walk down the hill from Antonio's apartment to Positano gave us the most beautiful vistas and coastline views of our entire holiday!! We even stopped to watch some sheep grazing right next to the stairs. In Montepertuso itself, we couldn't help but smile huge smiles as the roosters and chickens across the wooded ravine, greeted us during breakfast : ) As a side note, Antonio's village is quiet and peaceful and the gorgeous, new french doors he installed in the kitchen and master bedroom gave warm, full sunlight into the apartment. Also, there are full-length, new shutter doors on both areas that will completely shut out the sunlight, if you desire. The doors and windows on this apartment are super high quality so that, we did not hear one thing while we were sleeping, including not hearing the roosters until we opened the doors first thing every sunny morning for breakfast on our sunlite, sea-view kitchen terrace and master bedroom terrace. This apartment felt like we were staying at Santa Catarina or Il Sirenuse, the most luxurious hotels on the Amalfi Coast. This was such an incredible value that we still can't believe it, as we reminisce about our dream stay in Anotonio's Montepertuso Italy apartment. (Also, Angelo's assistance was super friendly and he helped settle is and answer more of our excited questions!). Thank you again, we miss Montepertuso so much and we have only been back from our holiday for one day. ~Dana and Mary : )

The flat is small and charming but a bus or taxi ride away from positano. I recommend staying here in the spring and summer, we were here the first week in January and the weather was unbearable. This made the 130 steps a challenge because of wind, rain and snow.

Antonio's place was a beautiful traditional stone house with amazing views on two levels and a terrace towards the Montepertuso village, sun and the sea... Positano village lays 2000 steps below, but with a bus or by car you reach the appartment with only 120 steps, which is not bad if one's knees work :) In the Montepertuso village, next to the flat, there is a little grocery store and a couple of fine restaurants (La Tagliata most worth of a mention). In the traditional looking flat there is all you need for a pleasant stay, cooking and relaxing. Antonio's family (living next to the place, but leaving all in the peace) is a great host with all hospitality and kindness! I would definitely recommend to choose this place :)

This apartment is a sweet slice out of time in the Italian countryside of Montpetuso above Positano. Awaken to roosters in the morning, with the sun shining in the french doors of both upper and lower balconies. Well maintained and impeckably clean, Antonio and family helped with the luggage as the apartment follows a 30 minute hike down the steep stairway down to Positano. Not for the feeble hearted, but the views are well worth the journey! (With a nearby bus stop for the return ride.) Antonio was a gracious host and great communicator.
