A studio cottage on Conesus Lake for a long term September through May rental in New York's Finger Lakes. The off-season monthly price is the same as a week in the summer, $750 per month, all utilities and heat included. We have up to date facilities while keeping the cottage experience. This is a summer cottage made warm and cozy for the snowy winter days. If the lake freezes, it's even more spectacular. Six miles from Geneseo, Avon and Livonia. 20-30 minutes to Rochester.

The space

We are in a residential neighborhood on Conesus Lake with off the road parking and a yard with a picnic table and grill for each cottage.

Guest access

Two families share the common space, lawn, dock and beach area and fire pit. We have enough space for all to relax and enjoy your stay.

Interaction with guests

I live here and will be available with information to assist if needed. If you wish your privacy that will be assured or you may make new friends.

Other things to note

We are close to Letchworth State Park, Stony Brook State Park, SUNY Geneseo College and only 20 miles south of Rochester, NY. You will find many things to entertain, amuse and educate. There are many good restaurants and shopping sites near too. And don't forget the Mt. Morris Dam. A cool tour is a great way to spend a hot afternoon.

A nice little bungalow on the lake. Location was great. Very basic. Very rustic but nice for the value. Judith took great pride in her family camp and was happy to share its history and all that was on the property with us. My husband ended up in the emergency room on Sunday night because of the bee/wasp infestation on the side of our cottage which was pointed out by Judith when we checked in however she did not offer much of a remedy for the issue other than to offer they were "friendly". We tried our best to avoid them but they were brutal during the evening and ended up dive bombing my husband as he grilled dinner and he was stung. Apparently he is allergic and it ended our weekend vacation pretty abruptly and he was treated at Noyes. Watch out renting in the summer with little kids until the bee situation is remedied. They were everywhere and difficult to avoid.

We had a relaxing and fun-filled few days on the lake. The access to the lake is great...our family loved using the paddle boat, kayaks and the dock and ladder for jumping in. The kids were in the lake from sunrise to sunset. Great picnic table and propane grill for outdoor lunches and dinners. Judith is a great host!

Lovely rustic cottage by the lake. Enjoyed both kayaking and swimming.

We had a lovely time at Judith's place! Sitting on the dock was so peaceful and we were surrounded by beautiful scenery. The lake itself was clear and calm. We were able to make an easy drive to see the falls while we were here also and crossed eating at The Anchor Bar (home of the original buffalo wings) off our travel bucket list!

Judith left the light on for us when we came in very late. She and her dog Dilly greeted us the next day. We felt very welcome in the cozy cabin by the lake.

Judith was a great host. She had everything you could possibly need. If you forgot something, she has it. The cottage was right on the water and the view was great as well as the cottage. We had a great time and may make this a yearly retreat.

Days by the Lake is family owned since 1911 when my great grandmother pitched tents on platforms. We have rented since then. Summer vacations are special and make precious memories. We treasure our own and provide a place for you to make yours. Movies, books, sailing, gardening, eating either at home or out with friends are all part of life on the lake. Making new friends and renewing old ones each summer make this a special place to live.
