Cheery suite with private entrance, consisting of bedroom, attached private screen porch & private full bathroom. Attached to house, but entirely separate from rest of house. 1.6 mi. from downtown. Fridge, electric kettle, all-organic breakfast (coffee, hot donuts, fruit) included. Access to walking trails along Rivanna River just a few blocks away.

The space
The feel of our house is woodsy cottage. Our house is steps away from access to the Rivanna Trail Network which encircles Charlottesville, and three blocks from a bus that will take you downtown. It's a beautiful 30 minute tree-lined walk there. The room has a queen bed. Most importantly, our family business is organic DONUTS which means complimentary hot coffee and donuts every morning for our guests. The house is on a cul-de-sac in a residential neighborhood. Ample street parking. The screen porch connects with the bedroom, and has a table, games, a ceiling fan, and comfy chairs. The connected and private full bathroom has a shower but no bath. There is an electric kettle and small refrigerator in the room, ironing board/iron. Towels, sheets, and dishware/utensils provided. Sheets are 100% cotton. Maximum occupancy: 2 persons (Couple with small child is fine)

I'm a writer, my husband is a professional foodie - running a little organic donut business. We have three kids -- one every six years whether we need one or not. We have more books than shelves, more ideas than time, and more mint then garden. For the moment, we are enjoying living vicariously through other people's wild travel adventures, and look forward to hosting folks from near and far. We love talking history, politics, science, theatre, books and bratwurst; and playing pick-up games of four-square in the street.
