The space

The property "B&B Ai Cipressi", Vittorio Sgarbi 's favourite B&B, is located in the hinterland of Sicily, In Trapani province, 30 km from the sea and half an hour far from the major archeological sites : Segesta, Erice, Selinunte, Trapani, Mothia, Favignana, Marsala and Castel Vetrano.

All these cities bring tou back to the ancient times of greece arabic and norman civilisations

Over 10,000 sq mt of garden and a stunning sea view - 3 rooms , each with private bathroom) and a suite. decorated in old '800 sicilian style. TV LCD air conditioning.

Here you can experience the smell of perfumed air and the bright colors of South Italy.

Peace, comfort, tipical sicilian hospitality and genuine cuisine are the features of the B & B "The Cypresses"!

Museums: "Museo dell' arte sacra", "Museo archeologico", "Saline", "Museo del sale", "Museo della mafia", "Museo del pane".

The landlady prepares on request wonderful dinners and organises sicilian cooking classes.

She also prepares the famous "Salemi's bread".
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here on a hill-top at two kilometres from the town of Salemi in the North West corner of Sicily, we have Sicily in a microcosm: farmhouses in a rural landscape striped with vines with the odd giant date tree lolling in the wind, in an area steeped in history, from the greek remains half an hour away at Selinunte and Segesta, to the medieval Marsala and the Arab-Norman castle of Salemi.

The house itself is warm and welcoming in a very Sicilian way and represents more recent local history.

Built in the middle of the nineteenth century by the uncle of your hostess. Photographic portraits of their ancestors, esteemed physicians physicians after whom streets and squares have been named, line the walls.

Lastly, the proverbial hospitality of Sicilians: your hosts, experts on local art and lore and cuisine are only too happy to accompany guests on thie discovery of Sicily and tp ply them with local delicacies.
Breakfasts are served on the lawn outside the house with a view of the surrounding countryside or in the dining room.
