Located in a typical 19th century Amsterdam style canal house this 70 sqm apartment with private south-west facing balcony (sun all day and evening), fireplace and highspeed Wi-Fi is a great place to make you feel at home in the city.

The space

The apartment is located close to pretty much all major attractions in a very cute part of Amsterdam. It's right between the Vondelpark and the bohemian Jordaan. It's about a 5 minute walk to lively Leidseplein with its theaters, restaurants and nightlife (but far enough away that you don't hear it). It's a great place to linger as well if you're planning to work from Amsterdam for instance. Throngs of cute bohemian café's are nearby, but it's a relatively quiet neighbourhood.

The apartment sleeps up to 4 guests. It has a private entrance, fireplace, separate kitchen, bedroom with king-size bed, large living area where we can add either 2 seperate beds or 1 convertible sofa (converts into a double bed), dining area and a private terrace. The southwest facing terrace is a cute little outside area with sun during the day as well as in the evening.

We usually check-in new guests personally. We live above the apartment and this means we can generally be flexible with check/in and check/out times. We are always reachable by e-mail or phone in case of questions and we love to give info about Amsterdam and what to see.

We absolutely love the place and hope you'll feel comfortable here as well.

The neighbourhood has the best of both worlds. Although it's bordering the Jordaan, the neighbourhood is very quiet and close to some of the nicest local non-touristy restaurants. Plus it's really nice to have nightlife, theaters and the Vondelpark at a 5 minute walk:)

Leidseplein is a transport hub with direct access to airport and trainstation (and most other parts of Amsterdam). Leidseplein is a 5 minute walk away from the apartment.

Our minimum stay varies troughout the year but is generally 3 nights, however for last minutes and weekdays we sometimes also accept stays of 2 nights. During holidays such as the New Year's we have a minimum stay of 4 nights and adjusted rates apply. Also, there's no added charge for babies, so just enter the number of adults to see the price.

The neighbourhood is relatively quiet and residential and the apartment is ideal for couples/families. It's not meant for groups of more than 2 people of similar age (this is something we specifically arranged with our neighbours).
The apartment is non smoking. There is access to a private balcony though, so you can use that for this purpose. We don't allow drugs, also not on the balcony, as this is a neighbourhood with lots of children etc around.
Also please consider our neighbours.
And most of all enjoy your stay :)

Must climb stairs - There are 2 flights of stairs (typical Amsterdam type stairs).

Our family loved our stay in Nurit's apartment. It is in the perfect location to explore around Amsterdam and is bright and sunny. We loved Nurit's recommendation book which made our stay super special. We will definitely be back!

Nurit was very helpful on advices to visit Amsterdam. We had a warm welcome, and the apartment is well located on the downtown. Apartment was very clean, big enough for 4 people. We recommand that place !

I want to thank Nurit (and family) for providing such a great rental and experience in Amsterdam. She was very quick with communications before and during our stay, and was very accommodating when we had an extra person staying with us (last minute) one of those days. The place was very clean and beautiful, great location to walk anywhere in AMS but the neighborhood had a very local (and quiet!) feel, even at night. I felt right at home. Fair warning, this is common of Amsterdam, the stairs were very steep and the room is configured for tall people (and not for 5'2" people like me). My sisters and I had to use the provided step stool to access the bathroom mirror and kitchen shelving. Regardless, I would stay here again!

Very clean and well adorned space in a family friendly neighborhood with great breakfast restaurants close by. Nurit's communication was excellent prior to and during our stay. We are a family of 4, and even though this is a one bedroom, there was plenty of room for 4 people, and they had comfortable cots for young teenage kids. Provides a true feel for an authentic canal home. Alex and Nurit did a wonderful job of making the space feel like a home rather than an empty apartment, including amenities like coffee for the coffee maker, and oatmeal for the kids in the morning.

Nurit and Alex were wonderful hosts and were very responsive to any questions we had. I traveled with three eighteen year old girls and they loved the place as well. Great location and we enjoyed preparing our meals in the kitchen. Can't say enough good things about Nurit and Alex. They were so helpful with our every need. Thank you very much!!

Nurit User ProfileNurit is a superhost.

Hi there, we're Alex and Nurit. We're a couple in our thirties and have been living in Amsterdam for quite a while. Alex is working for a pension fund while Nurit works as a financial consultant.

We bought a new house a couple of years back and renovated it mostly by ourselves. We live above the apartment and haven't regretted one bit coming to this lovely part of Amsterdam. With some of the cutest restaurants nearby and the Jordaan on our doorstep, we are really feeling at home here.

We are both avid travellers and love meeting people from different countries.
