This cottage will give you a feeling of living in a peaceful rainforest jungle and will make a great base camp for those who are interested in exploring the volcanoes region of the Big Island.

We really enjoyed our time at the beautiful Coconut Cottage. You feel like you are in the midst of the jungle. You also hear that in the night, but the jungle soundtrack helped us falling asleep even quicker. The place was bigger than the pictures made us expect and was equipped with everything needed. Jonathan was not on the island at the time of our stay but still communication was seamless and with the help of his co-host Wynd we felt really welcome and everything was prepared perfectly.

Really want to keep this spot as my secret. Can't say how much I love the shower and the remodel. The place is spacious and fairly easy to find. The hosts had everything setup and remained in contact with me. By far one of my better BnB experiences. There aren't a ton of places pet friendly on here but this one definitely is one of my "go-to" spots now.

Jonathan was very quick to respond and easy to communicate with. He was not there during our stay and had a friend there who was also very easy to communicate with. The place is very clean and actually looked better in person than in the photos. The place surprisingly stayed very cool, so it was no big deal without AC. The temperature was perfect to sleep with the windows open, so you can enjoy the best part of staying there - nature! There was a nice basket in the house with coffee, snacks and fresh passion fruit! The binder inside the home had some really great travel tips and where to eat/shop. We did a few things in the binder that we didn't see on Trip Advisor and was not disappointed! The only con is the inconsistency of hot water. There was a couple nights where we had no hot water to shower with, but there was always hot water when we got up around 6, 7am. There is an outdoors shower which would be nice to take a cold shower when it's hot outside if I wasn't worried about mosquitoes. We tried to save the hot water by turning off the water during shampooing and soaping, but that didn't seem to matter in terms of having hot water at night when we would get back after dinner. Overall, I would still recommend this place! I think the hot water thing would be a common issue with homes in the area. Plus, it's not a big deal to take a cold shower once in awhile.

We stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed this calm place with its beautiful garden! The room is big, the bathroom very new (as described) and we got fresh fruits from the garden :-) everything was clean and even without A/C it was nice and cool. We would definitely stay at this place /. in this area longer next time. There is so much to see and explore, 2 nights are too short! The communication with the hosts worked very well, they are super nice

A great host who made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. Very nice place (with a beautiful bathroom in particular) to enjoy the lush and quiet east coast of the island - just make sure you have a vehicle so you can access groceries/restaurants with ease.

Great place! Very clean and cozy. Wifi is pretty slow but it is okay if it's not for work.
