Front portal faces west and the sunsets are spectacular. Very high ceilings, adobe stays cool in summer, great kitchen. Hummingbirds at the feeders. One king size bed in master and one queen size bed in guest room. No need for air conditioning, for cooling in summer simply open windows at night and close during the day.

The space

Kiva style living room. High ceilings. Great outdoor spaces. Lots of birds, especially hummingbirds in summer. The front porch is a great place to relax and watch the sunset.

Michael was a great host, he was Extremely helpful. We were scheduled to stay at different Airbnb in downtown Santa Fe which didn't notify us till we were in town that they were unable to host us. Michael allowed us to stay at his beautiful home on short notice. Stunning views of the area from the house. Although his house is a ways out of town, it is a beautiful home. We really enjoyed our stay. Bring pepper spray if you plan on running as people in the area all have dogs that run loose!

Response from Michael:
Thanks for the great review Sandra, and for leaving the house in such nice shape. Happy to help, you guys were great guests. For the wide world: I have lived in this house for more than 20 years, and in that time no one has ever been accosted by any of the local quadrupeds.

Michael replied to inquiries quickly and was very helpful and informative. The house was beautiful and well-maintained, with windows everywhere and something lovely to see out each of them. The rural setting with easy access to Santa Fe was perfect for us. We especially enjoyed sitting on the patio taking in the beautiful scenery and spectacular sunsets.

Love New Mexican food, green chili enchiladas, etc. Recommend The Pantry (low key, local, good food) and The Shed (touristy but worth it).
