This Skyland Lodge Condo is less than 2 miles outside of the town of Crested Butte. While staying here enjoy amazing views, a huge hot tub and the incredible Grant Lake right behind the building with hiking and biking trails all over the mountain.

New photos to come!! The entire condo has recently been renovated. Wood floors, new beds but the same amazing views and location.

Guests will have access to the entire apartment stocked with all the minor kitchen necessities: a single burner hot plate, microwave, toaster oven, crockpot, George Foreman grill and a French press for coffee. There are linens, blankets and pillows for up to four people to sleep comfortably.
There are bathroom towels for guests as well as a separate set for the hot tub.
We live in Skyland Lodge across the street from the Crested Butte Country Club. Guests will have access to onsite parking for up to two vehicles. Unfortunately we can not have boats, rv's, quads, snowmobiles or trailers parked in our parking lot due to HOA restrictions. But you can store your boat at any of the reservoirs in the valley!

Interaction with guests

Although we live here in CB most of the year, we are often off traveling during the summertime. There will be an emergency number for a local caretaker of the property left at the condo in case you do need assistance, Otherwise, please email us if you have any questions!

Other things to note

Please note that although we love furry family members too, our building does not allow pets of any kind.

That means ANY PETS, even the very best, most well behaved. This is unfortunately due to very strict HOA rules that forbid our furry friends.

Three of us had a great time at Andrea's place in Crested Butte. The condo was in a nice quiet location a few miles from downtown Crested Butte and a perfect location for our mountain bike rides.

The place was very simple and perfectly nice. It is mostly one large room. Just the toilet/shower is in a separate room. The sleeping bunk is separated from the rest of the place by a curtain. This made it difficult for me to stay up later than my young daughter as it was not a separate room. Also the bathroom sink was in the same space as the kid room. Under the bunk is a desk space, which my daughter loved. She thought the place was fantastic. The lake is not right outside the door, but an 8-10 minute walk away. It was not quite as personal or homey a space as other Air BnBs where I have stayed, but more like a large nice hotel room. That being said, it was clean and comfortable and close to town. The view of the mountains from the small deck is gorgeous. The wifi worked great. There is a gigantic tv. It was totally fine.

The location was perfect, so close to town. Major downfall: hosts are completely unreachable. Called and messaged multiple times to get into the condo, and no response. My airbnb app wasn't loading all the details as how to get into the house or even the condo number. After 2 hours of trying to contact the hosts, we had to get a hotel for the night. It was almost midnight and we had been driving for 5 hours. I'm now checking out 4 days later, still no reply from the hosts. For all they know we never got in.

Response from Andrea:
Kate we are so sorry to hear you had this experience. We do clearly lay out the information on how to get into condo in the welcome message that is sent 24 hours in advance. This message has the condo number and the code to the door. Im sure if you had called Airbnb they also could have provided this information, preventing a hotel stay. I'm not sure why you weren't able to reach us. I'm sorry you had this experience.

Great place that was just about 2 miles outside of Crested Butte. The drive to the slopes was super easy and there was space at the condo to store skis and boots. Check-in was super nice, making it easy to walk in as soon as we got there. The photos decieved us a little into thinking the space was bigger than it actually was but it still got the job done. DO NOT cook or get water on the cutting board that is placed on the counter. During our stay, the board warped for whatever reason and we were forced to pay for it even though we had no warning or thought that this could happen. Crested Butte is a great place and we were happy our host could provide a place for us to stay!

This efficiency apartment was perfect. It has many beds available and is beautifully located (close to hikes, two miles from town, a nice two mile hike to town). This is a clean no frills stay, yet has great amenities: a very nice laundry room in building, large communal deck, hot tub and a nice lounge, and a gorgeous lake for kayaking, hiking, picnics and fishing (oh yea, and golf too). It is also very quiet. We didn't cook gourmet meals with the hot plate, toaster oven and microwave, but it was great to have them for our breakfasts and lunches (and leftovers from dinner in Crested Butte). The hosts were wonderful to deal with, very responsive and friendly, yet not overly involved with our stay. I stayed for two weeks near the end of September and didn't want to leave. I could not have enjoyed my stay more.

Didn't feel welcome at all. No notes from the host. Only a small booklet showing the rules of the condo building and a number to reach her property manager "In case of an emergency." It would have been nice to know how to reach this person when we couldn't get into the unit.

Born and raised in NY, I currently live in Crested Butte and enjoy traveling with my family. Together we have completed the Appalachian and Pacific Crest Trail with our 7 year old son and hope to travel a lot more in the future.
We absolutely love our town and wouldn't mind answering any questions you may have while visiting.
