About this listing
Welcome to the south! This charming 1906 Victorian house features original fireplaces, high ceilings, and loads of character. Relax to some music on the front porch or back deck with a cup of coffee, glass of wine, or mason jar of sweet tea!
Drift off to sleep in the room's comfortable Queen sized bed which sits opposite an original tile fireplace.
As with many old homes, this bedroom does not have a hanging closet, but there are several empty drawers where you can unpack your clothing.
You will have your own private guest bathroom with bathtub and shower. I provide shampoo, conditioner, soap, and hair dryer as well as fresh linens.
You will have the house all to yourself.
Interaction with guests
I would love to fill you in on the best places to see, eat, and soak in the beauty of the area. Just let me know what you're into (foodie, history, trendy, wine, craft beer, typical tourist spots, etc.)
Founded in 1883, Grant Park Historic District is on the National Registry of Historic Places. Take a stroll down the brick-paved sidewalks to view the quaint neighborhood houses, most from the turn of the 20th century.
You're walking distance from:
- Zoo Atlanta
- Historic Oakland Cemetery (where famous Atlantans such as Margaret Mitchell and Bobby Jones are buried)
- LOADS of great restaurants, bars, and coffee shops in the neighborhood (I’m happy to provide recommendations based on your tastes)
If you're visiting on Sunday morning, walk to the Grant Park Farmer's market to pick up some in-season produce and prepare a gourmet meal. (Or you can do what I do and order a crepe and iced coffee.)
Try some craft brews at Eventide Brewery, which is right off of the Atlanta Beltline walking trail, or select from a huge menu of brews at the local growler shop.
It's just three blocks to walk or jog to the park itself. On your way, stop by Bennett's - the local deli and market - to pack a picnic lunch. If you get a bit too faint from the heat, take a dip in the local public pool at the park for less than $5.
In the evening, bike or uber just 1.5 miles to Turner Field to watch the Atlanta Braves play. An inexpensive general admission ticket is all you need to watch the game from the Chop House bar over second base.
Sight-see at one of the local attractions within a few miles:
- Georgia Aquarium
- World of Coca-Cola
- CNN Center
- Phillips Arena
- Georgia World Congress Center
- Georgia Dome
- Centennial Olympic Park
- Skyview Atlanta Ferris Wheel
You’re two minutes away from I-20 and I-75/85, allowing you easy access anywhere in the city! If you’re driving, the house has off-street parking around the back. The nearest Marta train stop is 1.5 miles away, and the bus is just a few blocks. If you’re flying here, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta airport is a 15-minute drive. And Uber is always a great option in Atlanta.

Hi! I'm Cindy and I love all things history, mom-and-pop restaurants, and being outdoors. I love meeting new people and helping them get to know Atlanta. I'm an active member in my neighborhood association, and am happy to answer any of your questions about the history of the house and the neighborhood.
My favorite place in the house is actually the front porch, where I love to take a book or my laptop on a warm summer evening and sip a glass of wine. The house is on a bit of a hill, so the space is rather private even though you can see all that's happening on the street below.
I want you to have an enjoyable stay in Atlanta, so please let me know how I can help with that. I would love to hear your feedback to help me improve for future guests.
