Wendy and Craig were wonderful hosts, who take valuable pride in their scenic ambience and craftsmanship. Between the hand-built A-Frames to their personalized yoga studio, holistic therapies and their adventurous soul-refreshing guided rock climbing, you will find "home" here. We didnt partake in these activities but we did hike up to rock climbing cliffs; very beautiful and somewhat mystical trail. Thank you for the experience!

Wendy and Craig were great, and very helpful given some unlucky issues with the cabin. Craig quickly came up to the cabin to fix and assess the problem, and after he decided it wasn't a quick fix, he and Wendy had us move into a nearby cabin - which was an upgrade. Communication was prompt and we really appreciated the effort to accommodate us and deal with the issues. The cabin(s) are very cute and more secluded than I had imagined - yet have very quick access to the main roads, hiking spots, and shops/restaurants. The drive up to the cabin is not difficult in good conditions but might require 4wd in muddy/poor conditions. I'd recommend this property to everyone from hardcore climbers to hardcore relaxers alike.

I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay and that we were able to switch the cabin up for you. Thanks for being so understanding and letting us know immediately about the situation so we could fix it. We hope to see you again. FOR FUTURE GUESTS - The only time you would need a 4WD vehicle to access the cabins would be in the winter...and we do not rent the cabins out at that time, as we close from Dec. 1st until mid-March.

Our stay at the Wagon Wheel was fantastic. It provided two couples ample and comfortable space while staying for a long weekend of climbing in the Red River Gorge. The wood work was great, and the cabin was a wonderful retreat for relaxing after spending the day being active. The property itself that the cabin was on was wooded and beautiful. There was access to a sister property as well that was more-than-worth checking out. The check-in process was a breeze. Wendy & Craig ensured everything was situated before we arrived. The communication was awesome. We very much intend on staying here again. Thank you for the wonderful time!
