Comfortable private bedroom for two in Manhattan on famously beautiful Riverside Drive, 5 min to subway, near a breathtaking view of the Hudson river. Easy access to the sights and sounds of NYC. Quiet leafy street 2 blocks from Broadway, in a real NYC neighborhood. Big living room, fine art, multiple couches, and a disco ball on the 13-foot ceiling. This is an unusually pretty little area on the edge of a genteel historic district called Audubon Terrace.
The apartment is arty and comfy, large by NYC standards, with room to breathe, a sense of calm, and a natural vibe. You may well wake up to birdsong, as unlikely as that sounds. The furnishings are a mix of rustic and elegant. There are trees on the street, plants in the windows, fresh healthy delicious plant-based foods available upon request, and a front stoop to sit on (very New York).
Guests have a private room with a queen-sized memory-foam mattress and 100% cotton sheets and towels. The shared kitchen is well-supplied and the emphasis is on healthy clean plant-based goodness. Ask us about fresh organic juice, green smoothies, yoga lessons, or fresh-baked bread. The living room is comfortable and airy.
Interaction with guests
One of us will meet you or you can pick up/drop off keys at the (fantastic indie) coffee shop down the street. We'll be around if you need us, and we love helping.
Other things to note
We are full of ideas for unusual interesting things to do and places to go. It's really easy to get around NYC from here and we have loads of off-the-beaten-track suggestions if you are interested.
The door must remain locked at all time - it's a safe area, but it's still New York City!
No pets, no smoking, no parties. Light kitchen use is great but please don't fry meat or fish.
Be respectful of the neighbors. Use the dishes, towels, and sheets provided for you.
From Oct 20 - 21, 2017 the minimum stay is 1 night.
We are an IT trainer/artist and a Yoga teacher/nutrition consultant. We are from here and know a whole lot about New York City - art, fashion, and culture. We juice, bake fresh bread, focus on healthy living, and love to meet people from out of town.
