The space
No 19 Felix Court is perfect for a short or long stay in Cape Town. Felix Court is a secure block and easily accessible. It is on the second floor, and although there is NO LIFT the stairs are easy . The apartment is clean, beautifully furnished and Gardens Centre shopping mall is right on the doorstep. There is a great selection of restaurants and bars within walking distance too.

There is secure parking bay within the complex but if you don't have a hire care the MyCiti Bus stop is a stones throw away (3 minute walk) and will take you to the airport, The V&A Waterfront, any number of exceptional beaches, the city centre and to the cable station to go up the mountain. The MyCiti bus service is regular, reliable and affordable. Three MyCiti bus cards/passes are available for use. They will need topping up.

From June 1, 2015, the SA government has introduced new travel rules for people under 18. They will require birth certificates, adoption certificates, and permission from both parents for children under 18 to enter the country. So if you have a young person travelling with you please check with your airline, South African embassy, or other authorities. I would hate to see any of my Airbnb guests caught by this new rule. This is an extract from the internet - but please check with your local authorities too.

'Under the new law, all minors under the age of 18 years are required to produce, in addition to their passport, an unabridged birth certificate (showing the particulars of both parents) when exiting and entering South African ports of entry.
According to the department, when a child travels with only one parent, additional documents should include an affidavit in which the absent parent gives consent for the child to travel, a court order granting full parental responsibilities or legal guardianship of the child, or the death certificate of the absent parent.
The affidavit should be no more than three months old from date of travel.
In the event of a child travelling with a person other than a parent, the unabridged birth certificate must be supplemented by affidavits from the parents or legal guardians confirming that the child may travel with that person. Copies of the ID or passports of the parents or legal guardian, and the contact details of the parents or legal guardian must also be provided.

Oranjezicht/Gardens is a pretty leafy suburb on the edge of Cape Town's city bowl. The Gardens Centre is a great small shopping mall with small local outlets, two large supermarkets, pharmacies and cafes for breakfast and lunch. There is a selection of small restaurants and bars to choose from in the surrounding area. De Waal Park, The Company Gardens (National Gallery, Natural History Museum and Planetarium) and the city centre are a short walk away.
