We came to Yamanouchi for two days skiing trip and we had fantastic experience! Misa was the best host ever, she helped us arrange affordable skiing equipment, ski passes, gave us a lift to the ski park and to the station. Oh, and the food was delicious, you have to have both traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner when you stay there. The place is in a little village around 15min drive from Yudanaka station and a short drive from the ski park. The only downside were people smoking inside.

Misa picked us up from the train station, made us an amazing feast for dinner AND breakfast and then drove us to the snow monkeys in the morning. It's a pretty secluded spot, so bring snacks or drinks because there are no stores close by. We were there in October, and were the only ones in the hotel. They also have a Sento-like bath to use, which was nice after a day of travel. Thank you!

If you are a nature lover, you will love Maple Hills Inn. The view of the mountains from my window was stunning. It was summer during my stay, and all around it was lush and green and fragrant. Misasan is very sweet, kind and helpful, she did everything to ensure I was comfortable during my stay, she drove me to and from the station, and to the Monkey Park entrance. I enjoyed delicious seasonal local dinners, and glorious hot baths at the end of the day. ありがとうございます!

We had such a sweet time at Maple Hills Inn! The room has a feel of old-style Japanese along with a beautiful view of the mountains outside. The tatami and futons were perfect for us, as we had our baby with us and she could crawl around with ease. We also enjoyed the onsen style bath downstairs and the food we had for breakfast was delicious! Misa was very kind and accommodating to us as we had to check in later than expected and she even had breakfast prepared for us last minute. Great host and great place to stay!

Maple Hills Inn is a great place to stay if you are planning to visit the area. The staff was friendly and attentive. The meal I had was amazing. Misa san picked me up from the train station and dropped me at the snow monkey park. If you go in to Nagano, ask Misa san about the restaurant Zen. Great food at a reasonable price with a menu in english.

Misa picked us up at the train station and drive us to the snow monkey park. Then she picked us up from the park and drive us to the inn. The in. Is in a gorgeous rural area, set off by spectacular autumn colours. The inn gave us supper which was the very best Japanese food I've ever had. I can't express how lovely and helpful our host was and our experience at the inn.

Misa and her family were very nice and helpfull during my stay ! She came to the station to pick me up and drive me to the snow monkey parc. The room is typical japaneese and you have everything you need to rest. Also, the food she can prepare for you is just awesome ! If you want to have a rest close to the mountains for a few days, it's a perfect place ! Thanks a lot Misa
