Casual yet considered, this sunny, basement-level studio is steps from award-winning restaurants, swank bars, public transportation, and more. Chicago’s best kept secret, this safe, centrally-located neighborhood is close to it all!

The space
BEDROOM - queen-size bed, central heat + A/C (with Nest thermostat), 55” smart TV (Netflix), Nintendo Switch hook-up, full-length mirror, hangers

KITCHENETTE - mini-fridge, microwave, electric kettle, French press, with coffee/creamer/sugar/assorted teas + well-appointed snack bar!

BATHROOM - bath/shower (*shower ceiling is only 75” high*), towels, blow dryer, shampoo/conditioner/body wash + complimentary toiletries, just in case :)

OFFICE/LIVING - high speed internet, custom drafting desk w/ 2 ergo chairs, couch

LAUNDRY - free front-load washer/dryer, laundry detergent, iron, *public laundry room is shared with two other apartments in building*

HISTORY - Built in 1905, the building was initially a Polish tavern (Bennie’s Tavern) with 2 rental units in the back. Converted to a 3-flat, many original details remain intact including floors/woodwork, tin ceilings, and decorative brick facade.

PARKING/TRANSPORTATION - Free street parking is easy during the day, more tight at night, but a spot can always be found. We suggest public transit, Lyft/Uber, or Divvy bike sharing when out and about.

AIRPORTS - There are several ways to arrive from both O’Hare and Midway. CTA Train + Bus transfer - $2.50 (1 hr) // Taxi/Lyft/Uber - $50 (30 mins)

Self check-in after 3p with smart lock, check-out before 11a. Entire apartment is private (EXCEPT shared laundry room). Located one short flight (9 stairs) down to basement-level unit.

Other things to note
NO early check-in, late check-out, or luggage drop-off. Security cameras located OUTSIDE apartment (at front entrance in public vestibule and back entrance in public laundry room). NO pets, NO parties, NO smoking, NO loud music, NO illegal activity.

Hi, I’m Ingrid. I love hosting because it combines my 3 favorite things: travel, design, and Chicago. TRAVEL - My love for travel started in my previous career dancing professionally with the Houston Ballet. Touring the world was one of the most memorable and funnn experiences of my life. DESIGN - After hanging up my pointe shoes, I received an industrial design degree from Parson School of Design, which fulfilled my love of problem solving, making beautiful objects, and creating unique experiences. CHICAGO - My third and greatest love is for the city of Chicago, a magical place filled with world-class architecture, outstanding theater, exquisite food (and beer!), and the friendliest folks.
