My wife, 22-month son and I stayed at Amata Dimora for a week in June. We found the apartment to be as described - spacious, bright, nicely equipped and very well located. The apartment is situated on one of the three main streets through Salerno, in the old town, above cafes and restaurants. There is some noise from the street in the evening. There is also a somewhat steep flight of stairs to get up to the apartment - Michele kindly helped us with our luggage when we arrived. Personally I think the proximity to the community garden, the historic parts of the town, and the promenade more than make up for any negatives.

I would recommend this flat to anyone visiting Salerno. Spacious, immaculately clean and central, whilst being great value for money. Stefano, Michele's brother, was a perfect host, meeting me on arrival at the flat and even helping me with my (very) heavy bags. From enquiry to the end of the booking, he was easy to reach and quick to reply to my questions. He even got me to the station on departure; no easy task on a moped! We knew the area already, but he was happy to help, if we needed any help or tips on places to go and eat in the area. The flat is close to all of the bars and restaurants in Salerno. It is exactly as described and in the pictures. If anything, it is bigger than it appears in the picture - 5 people could stay there comfortably. The kitchen was well-equipped, with everything you could need for a short or longer stay. They even supplied us with drinking water for our stay. All in all, it was a perfect short break and the next time I visit Salerno, I would definitely consider staying there again.

On arrival in Salerno (despite a train delay) Michele's brother Stefano picked us up from the station and took us straight back to the apartment where Michele was also waiting to greet us. (On route back he pointed out some useful local places to go and gave us some advice on things to do). The apartment was fab. Right in the hub of Salerno, 100m from the beach, a 5 minute walk from a Carrefour express and sitting above a street of bars restaurants and cafes. Despite this it was not noisey at all and did not disturb our stay. In addition to a fab location the apartment itself was also ideal. A well equipped kitchen, a spacious and very clean bathroom, a lovely sitting/dining room and a generously sized main bedroom - and with effective aircon throughout our stay was brilliant. From the apartment we visited two local beaches (Lloyd's Baia - a 20 min walk away and €12 euro fee- was lovely), did a boat trip to Amalfi, a day trip to Pompei and ran along the promenade every morning with lots of other locals! Also when a lightbulb blew in the apartment Michele came straight away and fixed it. Upon check-out Michele was very accommodating and, again, drove us back to the station. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this apartment to others.

This was my first Airbnb experience in Europe and it was a real win. The place is just lovely - spacious, very tastefully decorated, has all the amenities you'll want, and in a central location close to multiple bus stops as well as to one of Salerno's ports. It was a delight to live here; we didn't want to leave! Michel was a great host - quick in communicating and coordinating, and helpful in suggesting information about Salerno and the Amalfi coast. The only thing to be aware of is that the place is above a few bars - it does get noisy and stays a bit noisy till 2-3AM on weekends. This didn't bother us too much, but something to keep in mind if you're a light sleeper or looking for a quiet place.

We had a lovely time at Michele's place! The apartment is centrally located between the promenade and historic center of Salerno. Each within 5 minutes walking distance. The place is beautifully decorated and has all the essentials you need for your stay. The only thing to be aware of is that it is on a very busy street so it can be noisy -- especially on a Saturday night. The bars below the apartment play loud music until 2 or 3 am, so make sure to bring earplugs. All in all, we had a great stay. Michele was very welcoming and friendly. He explained everything to us and was very easy to communicate with. We would highly recommend staying at Michele's apartment!

Michele's place was perfect for what we needed! It was very spacious and central--located by a ton of restaurants, parks, and the beach. We had trouble finding the exact door and first, but that didn't matter because Michele was outside in the street looking for us (we probably weren't hard to spot with our heads buried in our phones!) He was so helpful at check-in by making recommendations on things to see, restaurants to go to, and ferries/busses to take. I highly recommend Michele's place! Note: since it is on a busy street, it is rather noisy. If you're out late with the crowd, it shouldn't be a problem. But if you like to go to bed early, consider bringing ear plugs.

Michele was a great host. His place was very spacious, clean, and had everything we needed during our stay. He was extremely helpful in suggesting restaurants to check out and tips on everything in the city. The location of Michele's place in Salerno was perfect for us since it offered many restaurants nearby and easy enough to take ferry rides to make day trips into Amalfi and Positano.
