Tucked up behind our brook is a heated garden cabin which is a haven of peace set to the backdrop of the babbling brook. This is an en-suite triple room set in the grounds of a Cornish Cottage, in an AONB area. Breakfast items for tea coffee and toast are provided in the cabin, which also has a small fridge.

With prior arrangement you may also use the kitchen inside the cottage, which is shared with us, and other guests. There are cooking facilities and a dishwasher, and table/chairs.

The space

Purpose built log cabin with a triple sleeper, a single bed over a standard size double pocket sprung bed for a peaceful nights sleep, en-suite. There is room for an extra airbed if you wanted to accommodate a 4th person. The space is en suite with a toilet and wash basin and also has a clean and spacious walk in shower with a BEAB approved safe shower from the Mira range... regardless of water demand in other areas, the shower will constantly provide the temperature you have selected. Little details that make a big difference.

Your hosts are on hand just the same as if you were staying in a room in our cottage but you have the added privacy of being in the garden, and your own bathroom.

The cabin doors open out onto a veranda, then down the steps you come to a grassed area, and access to our garden where you can enjoy a cup of tea by the brook, you can turn right and head up the main garden and meet the chickens and goat!

Please read our reviews to see what others have thought of the cabin, and the hosts!

Guest access

Guests are welcome to walk around the garden but please observe any obstacles we have placed to contain the goat, and please note the chicken fences when in use are live. If you have children staying with you, if requested, we will switch the fences off during daylight hours. We are more than happy to show you around and you can feed the animals.

Interaction with guests

You will get the same level of helpful service as if you were staying in our house whilst benefiting from a better level of comfort and privacy which comes with the cabin. We're here if you need us, for anything from replenishing the clean dishes in the cabin through to lending you a guitar if you so have the desire to make some music!

Ros' place is charming and rustic, and is very cosy. The bed is a little claustrophobic with the bunk above it, but if that isn't a problem, then you will certainly enjoy the sound of the stream beside the cabin. I love running water and this was one of the highlights for me. Ros is friendly and accommodating.

A perfect combination of peace and tranquility - the brook running right past the windows - with home comforts and mod-cons like a good shower, heated towel rail, fridge, basic breakfast kit and comfy bed. The location is very convenient for exploring the Land's End peninsula - it's on the main road, but the cabin is set far enough back that traffic sounds are a distant murmur. Ros was the perfect host - kind and helpful on arrival and if I had a question, otherwise discreet and leaving me to enjoy my stay. Definitely recommended.

Lovely setting amongst the chickens. The cabin provided everything we needed and was an ideal stopping point, whilst visiting Cornwall.

This location is so convenient to Penzance and st. Michael's mount. Ros was attentive and gave excellent directions that made it easy to find. The property is beautiful with gardens, a little bridge over a stream, and cute, quiet farm animals! The cabin had all the basics we needed for a cozy nights stay. We enjoyed watching and listening to the pouring rain in the night on the roof from our dry, charming digs!
