An experience ...Historic house located in the upper city, very private and quiet, with a large terrace for view over the entire city and sea..A village within a city! 10 minute walk to the city center..great for couples, groups, or families!

The space

This is a rare accommodation in Thessaloniki: a private house with 2 floors and separate terrace overlooking city, sea, and Mt. Olympus views! This house is big, bright, airy with character..nicely furnished with TV, WIfi, plenty of hot water.

2 bedrooms, 4 beds, which can sleep 7 people. Each room has amazing views, (you can see the sea from your bed!!) full kitchen stocked with coffee, tea, etc. Wifi throughout the entire house and on the terrace outside.

The terrace is one of the best in the city, most restaurants would be jealous of this spacious outdoor space with views=perfect for watching the sunset behind Mt. Olympus...

Excellent Location in the lower part of the Upper city...10 minute walk to the heart of the city center. #23 bus is also available, 5 minutes to city center. Nearby are cafes in the ancient streets of the Upper city, tavernas along the old castle walls, tourist spots, buses, supermarkets, etc.

This is a very happy space with positive energy and a peaceful setting!

Other things to note

We can arrange a driver for airport transportation or for journeys outside of Thessaloniki

We had a fantastic stay in Jackie's place. It's a beautiful old house in the old town, a quiet neighbourhood. Communication was good and responses quick. The views from the terrace are stunning and it is a relaxing place to eat, drink and hang out. The walk up from the city centre is steep - we were travelling with young kids and their granny so took taxis home at the end of the day to save a hot, exhausting climb (cost around 5 euros). All in all a great Air B and B experience!

Jackie's house is great for family or friends. With all the amenities you need and an amazing terrace, Jackie's house is great value for money and highly recommended. Very pleased with the communication, everything was perfect. Just careful where you park, the roads are quite slippery all around.

We had a great time staying in Jackie's house in Ana Poli, a real home from home experience. The view from the terrace is even better than the pics and its where our group of 5 spent most of our time just chilling out and watching the world go by. Jackie was a brilliant host, always on hand if needed - I would definitely stay here again! Thanks Jackie :)

This is a quirky property in the upper old part of thessaoloniki overlooking the town. It is quiet and the view from the balcony was beautiful. The house is not modernised and so do not expect luxe , but for us the charms just about outweighed the lack of modern high spec ammenities. The balcony/terrace is a beautiful and spacious space that compensates for some of the idiosyncratic and less convenient aspects of the house. If you are a family with a couple and two kids this would work but mind out for parking, as the house is in the hilly part of the town , with steep and narrow lanes that can prove a bit tricky. The centre of town however, is only a ten minute walk away to the hussle and bussle of shops, the sea front and lots of restaurants. Nearer by there are restaurants with great views of the city. Jackie recommended lovely beaches, particulary Afritos which was about an hours drive away and was idyllic! Thessaloniki has a lot to offer and we enjoyed the city and the contrast of the old town and the new .

We stayed at Jackie's house for a week over Greek Easter, it was absolute bliss, the views from the terrace are stunning, from dawn as the sun rises, sweeping over the city, to last thing at night looking out at the glittering lights and the ships out in the bay. The house is very peaceful and a very good place to just relax - the rooms are large and airy, and even with the city bustling below all you can here up at the house is birdsong and every now and the a car or motorbike coming up the cobbled road. We found most taxi drivers to be reluctant to drive up the narrow streets, (as I am pregnant and found walking up from the centre left me very out of breath!) but it was fine walking up the few minutes from the nearest main road called Olympiados (we asked the drivers to drop us off by Lidl), if I was not pregnant it would have been fine walking all the way up from the centre of town though! Jackie was really helpful and overall our stay couldn't have been better. We'd love to stay there again!

Great views over the city, interesting area. A complete contrast to the rest of the city, providing a quiet place to return to in the evening, though getting a taxi back up the hill is a good idea! Plenty of room i the house and the terrace outside is good in hot weather. Jackie sorted out some initial problems very quickly and helped arrange transport back to the airport at the end of our stay (taxis find it difficult to find the place it seems)

The place was perfect for our stay in Thessaloniki. We liked the charm of the house, the view over the city, the terrace for an evening drink or a breakfast... Above all, the location is great. The area is charming and not far from the centre. So you have the best of both worlds (OK, walking uphill is challenging... if you have drunk too much ouzo ;). It is also very quiet, except the bells of a church Sunday morning I cannot recall any other noise. If I had to buy a house in Thessaloniki I would look in that area! The house may be seen as "shabby chic" for western standards, but I think it's really OK, in tune with the country. If you want a 5-star experience you don't do AirBnB in first place, right? So who cares if you need to remember to plug the boiler 15 minutes before showering, what really matters is that the place is full of light, airy and charming, the host is very helpful and you'll find instructions, hints, maps, guides, etc. A suggestion: take a taxi if you have heavy luggage (or just if you have luggage in general!) and be sure you have a CLEAR map of the area to hand out to the driver. We ended up in another street with the same name not far from there... In total we spent 23 euro (on a Saturday afternoon) but it's way quicker than taking public transport. Just sorry we couldn't stay more! Next time maybe? ;)
