The flat has some good points and a great potential: well located, very romantic with its window on the floor, not to small (as often are flats in Paris!). However, Pierre should make some important (and not expensive) renovation in order to let people feel in a clean and salubrious place: the carpet in the bathroom stinks (just remove it, carpets are not practical and hygienic in a bathroom!), the toilet seat is broken, walls need new painting, the kitchen needs at least some silicone to avoid water sinking in everywhere making the whole place damp... In short, everything needs maintenance. We were two with a baby, and we prefered covering the sofa with plastic bags before putting the baby's clothes on it -- that's just an exemple. I think Pierre would be glad to make this little effort: he seemed to me someone who cares about his lodgers and he was kind to us (for example: at the moment we got in the flat, there was just one shower towel and no kitchen towel; I asked Pierre if it was possible to have some and he brought it in a few hours).

Pierre is very nice and clear: Always gives me fast feedback; very available to show us to the house and in the house and visit Paris; help us with the luggage. The house is very well located. Close to metro and some nice Asian restaurant. The inside of house is a little old. Generally I'll recommend people to live it for very nice house owner, he can helps you a lot!

Pierre went out of his way to make us feel welcome and show us around the local area. He even emailed us later to follow up on yoga classes and local swimming pools. The apartment is small but comfortable with everything you would need. It is close to a great range of mini-supermarkets, restaurants and boulangeries/patisseries. The nearby metro station provides you with access to anywhere you could want to go in Paris.

When my friend and I first arrived, we were greeted at the exit of the subway by Pierre's wife who was very kind and led us to the apartment. She then explained how everything worked around the apartment and helped us plan our visit by giving us recommendations on what sights to see and what trains to get there. The apartment is quite spacious and I like the separated bedrooms, one on the loft and one downstairs. Both beds are actually quite comfortable. My favorite part about this apartment is that it is really quiet. The apartment is situated on a little courtyard set back from the street and even in the morning when traffic starts to pick up you won't hear a thing. Very peaceful. Initially there was only one bath towel provided for my friend and I but I contacted Pierre and he was quick to bring another towel. The bathroom is a little funky and the fridge could use some cleaning out but these are just minor squabbles that did not really impact our stay. The apartment is equipped exactly as described and that little couch/bed downstairs makes a really excellent place to kick back and relax after a long day of exploring the city! Overall my friend and I had an excellent time and Paris and enjoyed our stay in Pierre's apartment!
