I love the quiet area of the Gulf Coast with its pristine beaches, the sound of the surf close by. The sunsets are breathtaking and the sea turtles come up from May to October and lay their eggs on the beaches here! I love that you can't see any buildings from our stretch of beach. You have to purchase a monthly pass or yearly pass in advance to ride our little neighborhood family friendly ferry to experience our stretch of Manasota Beach. They also limit the number of passes sold, to prevent crowds. You can certainly drive a few miles down to Manasota Public Beach too-that is wonderful. Of course as hosts we include the annual ferry pass for your family as part of the rental.
Growing up in New England I appreciate the changing of seasons and just wasn't getting enough of that long summer feel up north though. A few brutal winters later we chose to escape to FL, and I now I feel I am getting "extra summers" by owning a little piece of this quiet area on the Gulf of Mexico.
I worked in the Healthcare field, my family is grown and enjoy the property too, we enjoy traveling and exploring. We are all practicing slowing down, breathing deep and savoring our beach and family time! Life is just too short.
Manatees, dolphins are sighted weekly if not daily-so much we have yet to see ourselves. Finally we saw the green flash as the sun goes down over the horizon, Mac one of our ferry boat captains (and an experienced sailor as well), and Ralph are a wealth of information about the tides and wildlife.I am close to the legacy bike trail as well as paddle board and kayak rentals too. Golfing is everywhere, and finding prehistoric sharks teeth keeps the kids busy on the beaches (ok we adults have gotten hooked too). I will attempt to accommodate your needs in order to make your Florida stay a sweeter memory! Any questions please ask!
