You will not expect this!
In the popular area Old-West, parallel to the shoppingstreet de Kinkerstraat and close to the Vondelpark and the entertaining Leidse Square, you can find my appartment of approximately 66m2, with a good balcony towards the south, on the second floor.
I bought this apartment and decided to completely rebuild it. I had a couple of specific wishes, like a brick texture wall, a kitchen made of concrete and the extremely heavy metal bathroom door. It took some effort but every piece of furniture has a special story. I transformed a simple apartment into a New York style loft. The urban, metrostyle combined with old family treasures and secondhand furniture found in thriftstores and on the Internet, makes it a special and intimate home.
For your use there is wifi, cable tv and of course central heating.
Parking is possible in the street, but local parking prices are due.
I am clean and take good care of my beloved home. Though, also for you if you would rent my house; good people receive a good treatment!
Just around the corner there is a very long
"shopping" street the "Kinkerstraat" for all your daily needs and more, where you can find a 6-days a week open air
"ten kate" market, also known as a farmers market.
The Hema, a famous big Dutch department store,
boutiques, coffeeshops, restaurants, lunchrooms, bookstores,
a 7-days-a-week-open supermarket, dry cleaner, or a laundry service a cross the street, next to the drugstore/pharmacy,
And a Internet cafe on the corner,
in case you decide to leave your laptop home too ;p
My apartment is only 20 min. from the airport or central station,
The tram and nightbus stop (7&17 tram and the 353 nightbus)
is only a few steps from my house.
Main attractions like the Leidseplein, Museumplein (a square, where all are big museums are located), Vondelpark or the grachtengordel (canals) and it's little 9 streets,
are no more than 10,15, or 20 min. away.
Tram no. 7 will take you to leidseplein with loads of restaurants, bars, and the Leidsestraat "shopping street".
The Leidsestraat leads you to the floating flower market
and the Kalkverstraat, downtown shopping area.
Tram no. 17 will take you into town to the Dam square (and it's monument) and Central Station.
To the Museum plein get on tram no.7 ( direction flevopark)
or tram no.17 (direction Central station). Get off the 2nd stop (Kinkerstraat/Bilderdijkstraat), and take tram no.12 ( direction Amstel station) or tram no.3 (direction Muiderpoort station) it's as everything, very close by.
For the people that can't sleep, the 353 nightbus runs all night
and stops at the same tramstop, takes you straight into town, Leidseplein,
city centre and central station
non will take longer then 5, 10 or 15 minutes ride.
I am sure you will have a pleasant time!
