very well situated near the centre of Capestang which is an interesting small town. Helpful wellcome pack. Living /kitchen area light and functional. Comfortable bed. Stairs might be steep for some. Helpful hosts.

Another excellent airbnb find. Good location to explore Béziers and coast. Nice little town with a reasonable selection of restaurants.

The neighbourhood was beautiful and very picturesque - the accommodation itself was wonderful and exactly as described and pictured on the site. Plenty of room for my friends and I and we had all the amenities we could possibly need. We also found a delightful bottle of rose wine in the fridge on our arrival - what a wonderful greeting! The veranda was beautiful for a spot of breakfast in the morning and lovely for a few drinks at the end of the day - the perfect sun trap. Jan and Richard greeted us on our arrival with some beautiful wine from the region and we sat with them as they told us more about the area, the history and recommended their favourite places to eat, drink and to sightsee. They were both fabulous hosts and we were sad to leave when our visit came to an end. I'd revisit in a heartbeat, we had a wonderful time staying here and have already been recommending to friends and family.

We felt most welcome on arrival and enjoyed chatting and a drink with Jan and Doug. We were gobsmacked to learn of the local Morris Dancing Troupe. We loved Jan and Doug's recommendation for dining locally.

The apartment is nicely decorated, but you can see that the furniture is not that new anymore. The garden outside is simply beautiful. The village is very nice with great bakeries and coffee places. It is about 30 minutes by car both from the sea side and the mountains where there are great swimming places in the river Orb. Jan and David are Great hosts. They even provided breakfast because we arrived very early on a Sunday morning. We stayed three weeks and towels and sheets were changed on a weekly basis. Thank you both for a very nice stay!

Response from Jan:
thank you for the positive comments. I'm sorry if you found the bathroom and kitchen less than clean. It surprises me because it was a lot of work to clean after your visit. I don't think that hosts can be expected to buy new furniture every few years, I think it's preferable to have good quality, comfortable things rather than the latest trend.

Jan & David, are a very kind host. We very much enjoyed our stay in their apartment. The apartment is very cozy and equipped with every necessity. Capestang was a pleasant discovery and definitely recommend to anyone who wants to spend a few days on the Canal du Midi and in the Languedoc.
