Spacious and well appointed. Rocanguille was exactly what we were looking for. Friendly welcome and scenic surroundings made for a great stay.

The six of us lovers of wine, food, and golf got blown away not only by the stunningly beautiful property but more so by the host's generous nature. Patrice, an award winning wine master, had already completed his harvesting but he took us to visit his friends' vineyards and who are themselves also award winning wine masters, giving us their precious time showing and talking to us about their wine making. We saw how smaller French vintners make their wine with their hands and heart, a passion for their craft. To them wine making is not work, it's a calling. We came away more appreciative of how French wine is crafted. Just awesome experience. Patrice also gave us a personal tour of Gensac, replete with histories and got us to visit the village officials from whom we learned that Patrice is also a village councilman. The house is impeccable in everyway, clean, cozy, comfortable, and well-equipped. And Patrice makes it even more special beyond words.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Rocanguille cottage. The cottage was in a wonderful location in the vineyards. It was a short walking distance to the charming village of Gensac, where we enjoyed a very nice dinner at Le Gensake restaurant. Patrice and Marie-Paule were very nice and great hosts. Patrice went the extra mile giving us a guided tour of the town and vineyards. We also enjoyed a bottle of wine from his vineyards along with grapes and fruit. I highly recommend a stay at Rocanguille cottage and look forward to our return someday.

C'est magnifique! Patrice and Marie-Paule were at the door to greet us when we arrived about 6pm, offering grapes and wine from their vineyard - a perfect start to our 5-day stay. Patrice went out of his way to call several restaurants to find a spot for the 5 of us for that evening - Chateau d'Sance was an amazing choice. Their home is even more beautiful and charming than the pictures capture, surrounded by lush vineyards. The interior is warm and welcoming, and well-stocked with everything you could want or need, including Marie-Paule's delicious fruit jams. Be sure to take a tour of the small village of Gensac. We visited wineries of St. Emilion, Cap Ferret and the city of Bordeaux while staying at Patrice and Marie-Paule's home and it was perfect! It was so much more than we could have ever imagined. Patrice and Marie-Paule, thank you!!!
