The space

Have ease, comfort and privacy on your trip to New York City in this affordable studio apartment located in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

Great for one traveler or a couple.

Separate kitchen and lots of closet space. 2nd floor, high ceilings, lots of light!

Close to subways. A 20 minute walk to Prospect Park, The Brooklyn Museum and Botanical Garden. Right around the corner from the trendy Franklin Avenue, with lots of restaurants, cafes and stores. Two of my favorite Mexcian restaurants are within blocks, as well as great Indian food and many, many Trinidadian and Caribbean restaurants.

A safe neighborhood full of friendly and relaxed people. I have lots of friends who live right around here. Many creative types have been moving into Crown Heights in the last 5 years.

Free wi-fi internet. Good stereo. Bedsheets and towels. No TV or computer provided. No smoking, please!

I think you will like it here. I do!

Adam is a good communicator. We didn't get to meet him since he was out of town. But I already felt he has a very laid-back personality and is very helpful. His place is a great value.

Adam's apartment has a very homey feel to it and I was lucky enough to have had the opportunity to meet him and talk before he left for the week. He even left us a little note incase we couldnt meet. His place is right on a bus line that can take you close to the subway so getting around was not an issue. We just purchased a weekly unlimited metro card to ride the transit. Many amenities in walking distance to the apartment and it was nice to have a kitchen we could use to prepare food in. Overall had a very pleasant stay in his very tidy apartment. Adam was very easy to interact with prior to arrival and very accommodating! Definitely recommend to others and hop we cross paths again! PS: biggest book/music collection I have ever seen!

His room was neat and clean. Laundromat and grocery store are in the neighborhood.

The studio was a nice find for my friend and I as we wanted a local Brooklyn experience. The flat itself met all our basic needs and Adam was a wonderful host who was easy to communicate with and remained very transparent throughout the whole process. I do have to agree with the others that the location is a bit ambiguous, because all the subway stops are at least 10-15 mins of a walk. But all in all, the stay itself went really well and I'd recommend this place for budget travelers who are seeking to explore New York beyond Manhattan.

The apartment is clean and has the essentials. Crown Heights can be a bit of a journey from Manhattan, or many other spots in Brooklyn, especially if you're using the subway at off-peak hours (the apt is a bit of a walk from either subway stop). If you're looking for a budget stay, this is a great spot, just know that you are giving up location for it. The apartment is nice and Adam is a great communicator, even though we never met in person. Thanks for the stay, Adam!

Adam's apartment is exactly as he's described! It's small but feels spacious, and is very well-lit (which is personally important to me, coming from California). It's a great place to stay for a couple or two close friends. I especially liked being able to retreat to Brooklyn after a long day exploring Manhattan. Stay here and you'll feel like a genuine New Yorker. Thanks Adam!

I'm a musician and teacher originally from Rochester, NY, in Brooklyn since 2000. I play mostly jazz guitar, but do all kinds of stuff for work, including teaching music to special ed kids, playing bass in a blues band, and recording and producing various styles of music. For fun…
