This is a wonderful and quiet town in California. The Rocky Top Lodge is perfect: from the beautiful deck with gorgeous views to the wonderful bedrooms and amazing amenities provided by the hosts. It was a weekend I'll never forget and I'm so happy we chose to stay here!

Very beautiful home, clean well stocked, easy check in located in a lovely area. Primary heat is a pellet stove and I have some allergies to smoke and wasn't aware of that. Other than that we had a great stay. Child friendly which was important as well as pet friendly. Very nice trip.

The Rocky Top cabin was charmingly warm and inviting. We had everything we could ask for in the cabin to provide us with a wonderfully cozy family retreat. The cabin is nestled in the foothills of a wonderful grove of trees, with a beautiful view of the mountains off the front deck. The cabin is close to the town center which can be accessed thru a series of well groomed nature trails. Overall, our family loved the peaceful experience that cabin and it's surrounding area provided us. We look forward to visiting the Rocky Top cabin again in the future!

Beautiful home. Peaceful, clean and fully stocked to enjoy!! We were at peace and would love to stay here again. An additional bonus... wonderful hosts. Having stayed in pine mountain club with other host, there is no comparison. Above and beyond.

Felicity greeted us, and was very responsive and clearly communicated everything we needed to know about the area and the house! She always answered any questions or concerns that I had fairly quickly, which was very nice. The house was equipped with EVERYTHING our family needed, it was SO NICE to have a completely stocked kitchen ( I mean, they really have everything). Richard and Linda were always responsive and thorough in communications during booking. I would definitely book here again if we make another trip to Pine Mountain Club!

Yes. I met host at the house. She gave us detailed tour of the property. They even kept a welcome box for us!

Hi Linda/Richard - We enjoyed staying in your house/lodge. We were well received by your daughter and everything was properly explained to make it easier for us. Everything was very well labeled in the lodge. Location of your house is good with quite a few close by options to hike and enjoy the nature/mountains. We were able to easily go to various hiking places. Also, spent a lot of time on pool table in your house and at the tennis court in the club house. Overall, a relaxing stay for everyone in our family. Thanks!!

We designed and constructed this unique 2-level Craftsman lodge-like home ourselves in 1978. Every rock, board and shingle was chosen and placed with our own hands. The rocks and boulders had to be dug out for the foundation. We even had to blast a 'ledge' (translation: a rock as big as the mountain!) to pour the lower floor concrete. You can see why we christened it 'Rocky Top'. We had planned to make this our home, but family obligations delayed our plans. After years of being leased-out (even sold and then reclaimed) we have renovated, decorated and restored this gem to share with you. Like many people Linda, an avid interior decorator, dreamed of owning a B&B. This is probably as close as she will get. Our family and friends traveled up from the Los Angeles area a few days every week for a year to work on this restoration. Richard, now a retired general contractor, turned the business over to our son who did the heavy lifting and electrical. Our neighbor, a retired plumber, graciously gave many hours to the project. Linda had great fun pulling the parts and pieces together. The talents of family members are showcased in the many custom artworks and stained glass windows throughout the lodge.
ROCKY TOP feels like a world away tucked into the middle of the forest. All told we've probably spent the best years of our lives constructing, furnishing and landscaping this dream property...while having the times of our lives!!! We invite you to come enjoy the clear blue skies, clean fresh air and the thrill of sighting the occasional Condor soaring high overhead. In spring stroll down our wooded path and smell the fragrant lilacs. Sit in the log swing and listen to the wind whisper in the pines. A few days on the mountain is more restful for us than a two-week vacation. We're sure it will be the same for you. Come on up to ROCKY TOP - we'd love to share our dream-come-true with you!!!
