Staying at Kerkenstein was an experience in itself. A house with a history, inviting and beautiful, filled with art and classical music and surrounded by idyllic scenery. Our stay was made even more special by Lydi and Jared - most sincere and charming hosts. If you're up to it, take a bicycle ride (bikes are kindly provided by the hosts) along the dike and enjoy the peace and quiet of Dutch countryside.

Picturesque mansion on the borders of the river the Waal. The room is very charming with a large comfortable bed and in-suite shower. The place is very quiet and has a lovely garden. Communication with Lydi was very easy and fast. She salso prepares a lovely breakfast.

We had a fantastic stay with Lydi and Jared last weekend. They are friendly and welcoming hosts who do everything to make you feel at home. They have a wonderful house and the rooms are beautiful, well equipped, practical and very comfortable. Lydi cooked a delicious meal on Saturday and we ate and chatted in the garden until it was dark. The location of the house is also great and we thoroughly recommend taking your bikes to explore the area. To sum it all up, we left with a feeling as if we had visited good friends for the weekend. I would thoroughly recommend them as hosts.

Lydi warmly welcomed the 3 of us and made everything perfect, especially for our 2 y/o little boy who enjoyed the gorgeous house, the toys, books and so on. The house and garden are very beautiful as well as the surroundings, even in winter. We really wish we could have stayed longer!

My husband and I couldn't be happier with our experience in this house. We've arrived later than we said, and Lydi was waiting for us with a homemade dinner in their lovely kitchen. We've talked all night like we had met her all our lives. The house was GREAT, with everything arranged in a welcome way, a mix of guest house with a family house. The bedroom is very big and comfortable, with a great view to the surroundings. The breakfast was delicious, again in the lovely vintage kitchen with a view to the country flowers. Music is always present in the house, and we got to hear Lydi's son play the piano. It was a fantastic way to know the Dutch countryside, and this lovely family. Thank you for everything.
