A clean, lovely former farmhouse in a quiet neighborhood near the Loire river. Very careful host and accurate listing! We would stay again. My only concern is that the beds are tolerable, but not comfortable by American standards.

Christophe's accomodation is very comfortable and just as described and he is a very generous host. The house is fully fitted out to self cater or an easy drive to local restaurants. It's also a great central spot to explore the local chateaus and wine caves. The vineyard setting is beautiful and we had a couple of lovely afternoons sitting out in the afternoon sun and enjoying the peace and quiet.

Christophe was a excellent host and met us promptly upon our arrival. He was very well prepared for us and even though we didn't speak French and he didn't speak English we were able to communicate and get the information we needed. The cottage was amazing and lacked nothing. The location was off the beaten path in a cozy French village. Overall a perfect experience for the 3 of us. We would definitely look to stay there again if in the area.

Christophe was a really pleasant and welcoming host. Check in went smoothly and he was available immediately over text. Based on the Airbnb photos, you might not realize that there are two somewhat identical bedrooms: two rooms with a double bed, a single bed, a designer stand-up shower and vanity sink (I thought the photos were of the same room but with different bedding shown). The house is exactly as was advertised - in fact it's better than expected. The gite is located right beside a vineyard so we enjoyed watching the sunset over the Loire's perfect countryside. My husband and I also loved having a glass of wine on the outdoor patio table. There are also nearby wine sellers located in charming caves, typical of the area, making for a unique local experience. The gite is also well situated to visit the chateaux: Clos Lucé, Chenonceau and Ambroise are a short drive away. D'Ussé is about an hour west and Chambord an hour east. Our children are 5, 7 and 10 and enjoyed the DVD movies and the card games provided. We didn't use the high chair he provided, but there was one available. Lots of outdoor space to safely explore. The only comment I would make is to be sure to specify how many actual beds that you require. On arrival, there were five sleeping spaces made up (two double beds, plus one single bed), but as a family of five, our children would have preferred to sleep in separate beds. When I had asked for bedding for the second smaller bed, Christophe suggested that two of my children share the larger bed as as the bedding was made up for five people as I had booked. I didn't push the issue here as the arrangements were acceptable, but if you are five single adults, for example, you might want to be clear with how you'd like your beds set up ahead of time. Other than this small thing, the gite is lovely. Highly recommend. Thank you Christophe for a great stay in the Loire.

Response from Christophe:
Encore merci Christine

We had a wonderful stay and Christophe was an excellent host. The accommodations are exceptional. The tastefully remodelled guest house has everything you could need with plenty of space. An idyllic setting overlooking vineyards and beautiful countryside. We travelled across Europe for 4 months and this was one of the nicest places we had the pleasure of staying at, we would definetely recommend to other travellers.

Christophe was most welcoming and even had a bottle of wine as a welcome gift. He was ver clear in his explanations of how everything worked. The house was spotless and very nicely decorated, as can be seen in the pictures. It's pretty minimalist in its decor and big in its size. The kitchen is well equipped and beautiful; the bedrooms are big and comfortable; the sitting room/TV room is large and comfortable with an amazing LED TV. The house is in a rural area close to many of the chateaux one plans to visit. This place could not be more relaxing.
