We greatly enjoyed our stay in the Stilt cabin with Wade and Bethany. They communicate very well and are quite welcoming, while giving us a feeling of seclusion and privacy. The long, steep, gravel driveway is part of the fun. Stop half way and look out into the gorge! So beautiful. Also, definitely take the time to walk down to the creek. Lovely quiet views with high chance of Great Blue Heron and other wildlife. The farm dogs will likely escort you and play in the creek. The cabin itself is almost a perfect blend of simple rustic and the comforts of home. AC if you want/need, wifi, coffee, microwave, hotplates and charcoal grill will give you everything you need to never leave the cabin if you so desire. The place was very clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend driving the mountain roads for views and a trip into Mountain View is worth it for restaurants, shops, and a cute tourist town. FYI: you will be in a dry county.

Bethany was responsive since we first booked the cabin. It was such a convenient location for our caving adventure in Blanchard Springs. We loved their three friendly dogs and beautiful creek just a short walk away. In hindsight, we wish we had booked the cabin after caking so we could've spent more time on the grounds! We hope to be back in the future!

If you are looking for a quiet, scenic, relaxing get-away with time to reconnect with the ones you love--Ropers Campground is the place to stay. The basic amenities of home, along with wi-fi and satellite tv (for those who would have withdrawals without...) including friendly hospitable staff AND a personal hot tub on a spacious deck---you will find those things at Ropers along with much much more. Close enough to nearby towns to take in local culture yet nestled far enough away in the Ozark Mountains for relaxing in a private get-away, those choices are truly up to you. Pet owners will leave feeling as if their four legged friends have experienced vacation as well with lots of room to play and explore with their own personal furry guides, Timber, Dixie and Minnie. Timber, has the spirit of a guardian angel and will certainly steal your heart.

Wade & Bethany User ProfileWade & Bethany is a superhost.

Hey everyone! Wade Roper & Bethany here inviting you to our little slice of heaven. A few years back my dad ( Bob Roper) was in charge of the Ozark Mountain Trail Ride and had been for many years. After a while he decided he was ready to retire and got out of the business. Over these past couple years we have built some cabins, installed RV hookups, public bathrooms and cleaned the place up to have big events, etc in hopes of this place becoming THE PLACE again. We are open year round and would love for you to come check us out :)
