It is Spacious, Airy, Bright, and Calm, has the most beautiful, original wooden floors, a bathroom that looks like a Spa, close to a wonderful park 15-20 minutes by bus to downtown. The neighborhood is calm and "bruxellois" and ethnic at the same time.

Guest access

The apartment is situated on the 2nd floor of an original "maison de maitre", a Bruxellois family house, and develops on another floor - so when you enter, you will climb the first flight of stairs, enter through the door, leave your shoes there, and then continue to the kitchen and living area (first floor) and the bedroom and bathroom (second floor). I know, it looks like a lot of climbing, but you'll see, the stairs are the perfect height, so moving up and down is easy and light !

Interaction with guests

If I am in Brussels I will be more than eager to help and share with you all the things I know! If I'm there, we can also have breakfast together, otherwise you can use the kitchen (I will leave a note on how to use the stove), there is a water boiler for your tea, and of course you can use the fridge. If I'm not there you can interact with Cora (my lovely neighbor downstairs if she's there), or Dario or Juliane, two friends and ex-colleagues of mine who sometimes come and stay for a couple of nights :)

My dear guests, I just expect you to behave with love and respect for this house that I love so much, for my few objects, and for the plants which, if I'm not there, I'd be happy if you could water and say hello to :)

We loved our stay at Martina's place. It's such a nice size place with lots of room. The upstairs bathroom is great. Martina was a great host. We met when we arrived and she made sure we'd have no questions, as she left notes everywhere letting us know how everything worked. She even left fruit and let us know we could help ourselves to her teas and cereals and such. The area was PERFECT for us and we enjoyed the Turkish stores and food. So good. The apartment is also down the street from trams and buses that will take you to the city center or central station. One thing of note is there are a lot of stairs in the apartment. So, if stairs are something you struggle with, it's something to note. We'd recommend this place to anyone. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Martina. Have a wonderful New Year!

My stay in Martina's flat was perfect. The flat is bright, full of light, with large spaces, and this lovely nest outside is an excellent area to rest under the sun when it shows up. All rooms were super clean, and nicely decorated with a touch of zen everywhere. Even if it is in Schaerbeek, I would recommend this flat for people visiting Brussels, I was there for different reasons, but the tram 92 that will drive you in Sablon in 10minutes is a few steps away. The proximity of lovely Josaphat Park and the Turkish district make this neighborhood very active and attractive day and night. On top of that, I would say the stay worth it because of the host, Martina and her neighbor Cora are such lovely dedicated persons doing everything they can to make the stay even nicer. Some little attentions such as the messages and indications at the entrance, the free pasta for my first dinner here, and the cleaning lady passing by, all of that were truly appreciated. Thank you for that good moment.
