Moving between countries, big and small since my childhood, I never thought I would be able to settle in one particular place. But then it happened! Beautiful and cosmopolitan Vienna won me over and I’ve been unable to let go ever since. Filled with vibrant history, amazing architecture, great art, music and wonderful parks the city has so much to offer! Imagine living within a 2-minute walk from Sigmund Freud’s place or walking in the opposite direction for 10 minutes and sitting down for breakfast across the house where Beethoven used to live.
I remember when we just moved, my son and I had a favorite route. We would go up to the Votiv Church, pick inside and then spend some time on a small playground beside the grand walls . Next, we would continue walking towards the Rathaus. He would run through the beautiful arches of the buildings, play in the park and later we would sit down in café Landtmann for refreshments. Afterwards, depending on the time of the year, we would either stay in the Rathauspark for activities (fantastic giant ice rink in winter, film and gourmet food festival in summer) or continue our walk in Volksgarten, Hofburg and the MuseumsQuartier.
We cannot wait to share the whole Vienna experience with you! Start exploring the city from our 19th century house and discover your own favorite paths. We promise you a great stay!
