Our apartment is an immaculate 4 double bedroom (8 guests sharing double beds) residence, in an ideal location for those visiting Edinburgh for the Festival in August
Built in the late 1800s, it is on the 3rd (top) floor of a traditional Edinburgh tenement and has been extensively renovated & modernised. It retains traditional features but has a fresh, contemporary decor
Our top floor apartment is warm, bright, quiet, and has plenty of space for you to relax and make yourself at home while in Edinburgh during the Festival period. It is situated in Polwarth, a lovely, safe residential suburb only 30 minutes walk (or a short bus/taxi ride) from the centre of Edinburgh. The apartment offers a blend of traditional features coupled with contemporary decor and all modern appliances throughout.
- 4 large double bedrooms, all with ample wardrobe / drawer space and light summer bedding
- Spacious, modern kitchen/dining room, with everything you need to cook and enjoy a nice meal, including dining breakfast bar and a comfortable couch
- Contemporary bathroom with over-bath electric shower, and plenty of towels for guests
- The apartment is south facing so benefits from both morning sun to the rear (bedrooms one and two and the kitchen), with the front (bedrooms three and four) basking in afternoon/evening sun. Being on the top floor, there are fantastic views south across Merchiston to the Pentland hills in the distance
Guests will have full access to the entire apartment, including all its contents, e.g. LCD TV, bedding and towels.
Please note there are stairs from street level all the way to the third floor, so regrettably it is not easily accessible for disabled guests.
We endeavour to welcome our guests in person, however if unavailable, a good friend of ours will be around to welcome you instead. There will always be someone to greet you, show you round the apartment and its features, and give you any tips on what Edinburgh has to offer and how to get about.
Interaction with guests
We are more than happy to keep in touch during your stay to offer our local knowledge.
Other things to note
For your safety, the apartment has smoke alarms in each room and a carbon monoxide alarm in the kitchen. A fire extinguisher and fire blanket are provided in the event of an emergency.
Hopefully the photos show the effort we put into maintaining the apartment. We therefore ask that you treat the property with care and respect, as you would your own home.
I’m afraid we don't allow pets or smoking in the apartment or stairwell. We also don't accept bookings for events/parties – e.g. hen/stag dos.
Please be considerate to our neighbours and keep noise levels to a minimum in the apartment and stairwell.
