Caron has been a huge lover of antiques. From the age of sixteen, she has been dealing in vintage kitchen decorative items and French Brocante. For ten years she had a shop in Bath called “The French Collection”. After deciding to close the shop, she went to purchase a single home built in the 1700s. Old, rundown and rather beat up, Caron became determined to fix up the house and 28 years later, she has a very well-established Bed and Breakfast. Obviously, Caron is never too far from her antique collection so Fosse Farmhouse is decorated throughout with country antiques, many of which are for sale as well.
In 1993 Fosse Farmhouse won the prestigious Britain Welcomes Japan campaign award for “Best U.K Tourist Accommodation” and in 1995 was selected as Which? guide “County Hotel of the Year”
Caron’s series “World Class Cuisine” on Discovery T.V USA gained international recognition. For Radio 5 live she has recorded & broadcast “Going Bananas” her own 6 part series on using wild food in everyday cookery.
The highly successful “Cooking With Confidence”, a six part series of half hour programmes for BBC 1 was written, researched & presented by Caron in 1997.
