Our very friendly and helpful host Rupert was there when we arrived at his beautiful house in London. He had contacted us in advance about our time of arrival. What a great place to stay for 10 days! The house was just perfect for us and Rupert showed us around and gave us useful information about the neighbourhood and the public transport in London. This was our first Airbnb experience and it surely was a good one! We really had a great time! The house was very comfortable and spacious and beautifully decorated! The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were good and comfortable. The house was clean. It was aways nice to come home after a busy day of sightseeing in London! The neighbourhood was nice and quiet. Just a little walk away there were many pubs, shops and restaurants, with good food. The location of the house was good. The Queens park underground station was only an about 8 minutes away and from there you could get everywhere easily. Travelling by bus was very easy to with a bus stop just in front of the door. A 15-minute walk brought us to the very famous Portobello road in Notting Hill! Rupert, thank you for having us and making our first Airbnb experience a good one!

Rupert was an amazing host. We arrived late at night and here was there to greet us and help with our massive amounts of luggage (which is what happens when you travel with a 9 month old). He walked us through his beautifully decorated and immaculate home and even helped us pick a place for a late night dinner. We stayed for a week and really enjoyed the neighborhood. Queen's Park is a stone's throw away and is perfect if you have family or are a runner (they have a great loop that you'll never tire of). Notting Hill was a walkable distance from his house, yet the neighborhood was quiet. The home itself was perfect for traveling with a baby. Thanks Rupert. We can't wait to come back.

Rupert is a wonderful host, communicative, accommodating and helpful. Rupert's house is both delightful and a perfect stepping-off point for whatever you might like to do in or about London. Four of us, two children (aged 5 and 8) and two adults stayed 13 nights. We travelled far, wide and frequently. It is an easy walk north up Fernhead Rd to the Queen's Park tube (Bakerloo line) and London Overground station and so, to our children's delight, very easy to travel to, amongst other things, central London, the Harry Potter Studios near Watford Junction, Kew Gardens and the attractions of Richmond. It is also just a short walk south down Fernhead Rd and across Harrow Rd to the Westbourne Park tube station (Hammersmith & City and District lines). There are buses running down Fernhead Rd and from neighbouring streets in all directions. There are lots of food / grocery stores nearby, including what appears to be a new M&S just a stone's throw from the top of Fernhead Rd - at this time of year well-stocked with cheap and delicious raspberries and strawberries. Also, there are a range of local eateries to which Rupert helpfully gives directions. Our children's favourite was Da Daniela's, a little Italian cafe/restaurant, a short walk along Shirland Rd towards Maida Vale (or a few stops on the no. 187 bus if little legs are getting tired). For those who may wish to make car trips further afield, we hired a car from Volvo Cars Central London (which we collected and returned to Volvo Swiss Cottage) and had no trouble parking right in front of Rupert's house on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. All in all, Rupert's house is a perfect home away from home for visitors to London. It is just as Rupert describes it and it has all of the conveniences visitors may reasonably need or wish for. We are most grateful to Rupert and, in our children's words, "give Rupert's house a thumbs up".

Rupert couldn't have been a more accommodating host. He made the booking, arrival and departure processes extremely easy. Rupert was quick to respond, flexible around arrangements, helpful and informative. Rupert's lovely house is very much as described. The 3 bedrooms are all a decent size, good double+ beds with very comfy mattresses and pillows and high quality sheets. The 2 bathrooms were spotlessly clean and attractively decorated. Shower pressure was good and hot water was plentiful. Kitchen, dining room and lounge area is spacious and comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped. All the machinery (washing machine, cooker, dishwasher etc) are all easy to operate. Rupert had kindly left a few items in the fridge which were greatly appreciated. Wifi was good enough to satisfy two teenagers and the TV seemingly has a million channels. Typically of London, the house is laid out over a few floors, but don't let the idea of a few stairs put you off as Rupert's house is a high quality property that was just perfect for our family of four with two teenage kids for our 8 day visit. The location and surrounding area is fantastic. We ate out every night and found a variety of really good pubs and restaurants all within 10 minutes walk or less. Favourites were: Ibuki Sushi and Le Cochonnet (Italian), both on Lauderdale Road; The Cedar, Lebanese over the road; The Salusbury pub in Queen's Park. The 2 shops over the road sell essentials and there are supermarkets within 5 to 10 minutes walk. Queens Park tube station is within 10 minutes walk. The bus from just outside the house takes you to Royal Oak/Paddington/Marble Arch tube stations and from the bus stops within 5 minutes walk you can get to much anywhere in London. An Oyster card is a necessity. We didn't miss having a car at all. Overall we had a fantastic stay at Rupert's extremely comfortable house and couldn't recommend it more highly.

Rupert was very warmth and detailed during his orientation of his tastefully decorated house. Fully equipped with all necessities and beyond whatever you need! The location is peaceful and conveniently located between 2 tube stations and along the way there are convenient shops, dry-cleaning, cafe and eateries. Each bedroom is brightly lit and cosy and comfortable! It is a super thumbs up for this house!!!

I recently spent 8 wonderful days at Rupert's home with my oldest son. We were celebrating his 45th birthday! I cannot imagine a more wonderful place from which to explore London. Rupert's home is even more delightful when seen in person. The pictures on Airbnb are great but don't do justice to the reality. The home is charming, exceptionally clean and has absolutely everything you could possibly want. Plenty of space to spread out and really enjoy your stay. An added bonus is Rupert's collection of music and film artifacts that can be found throughout the home. Absolutely charming. Location is perfect. Away from the manic hustle of Central London but with very quick and easy access to the London Underground. Queen's Park Station is a 5-6 minute stroll from the home and is a stop on the Bakerloo Line. Queen's Park is a charming little "pocket neighborhood" with several great pubs and restaurants in addition to a number of local shops. Within 300 meters of Rupert's home are two top-flight (URL HIDDEN) Ethiopian and the other Lebanese. Both are "must stops" for anybody staying at a the home. Rupert is a lovely man who truly cares about his guests. I can't say enough about how incredibly helpful he was throughout our pre-arrival preparations and during our stay. An incredible experience overall.
