We, family with 2 kids (3years and 3 months) stayed 10 days at Antonio's place. The view is beautiful and the direct access to the beach is great with kids (you're fast back to get whatever you forgot or for a nap, you can easily go for just a quick swim). The equipment of the kitchen is very basic and could need a fresh up.

The view of the house is nice and the rooms as spacious BUT we had a desappointing experience. First, when we arrived the host didn’t prepare any information about place to go or visit. We arrived in the late evening, we asked him a recommandation for a place to eat. He was unable to recommend us a good place. We would have appreciate his help after our long trip. Least but not last, the area of house was very NOISY. During all our stay, they were a gardener in the neighbour house and a noisy tractor which was harversting the drift alga and smooth the sand for the pizzeria/bar just next to the house from 7 :00 in the morning. In addition to the noise there were a very bad smell of pollution due to the tractor. We didn’t enjoy our stay in this house.

My dear Fiji, I would smile your comments and I ignored them, even if they had been told differently I would have liked them more and would be surely more constructive, but unfortunately since it impact my reviews and I find it very unfair, I am compelled to respond. First, as you said, you have arrived late at night and instead of appreciating the welcome at an unusual hour (others would have made you pay the disorder), you complain that I have not advised you where to go and what to see. Maybe you've forgotten that I have explained everything that was around Syracuse and I have also showed you a book about Sicily, making you see the images of the book paging through it with you? Second: you have arrived in a house that is located in a seaside resort FOR SUMMER, so it is normal that the local restaurants are closed, in fact, I advised you to go to Cassibile or in the nearby Syracuse 15 km away. Have I done any restaurant name because usually do not do it and because tastes are very personal (I prefer to avoid because people think that the owner could have interest in recommending a restaurant rather than another). The restaurants in Fontane Bianche were closed (I repeat that it is NOT Summer) and I realized that you did not want to go to Syracuse because you were tired. For this reason you put a negative comment? Furthermore, given what you wrote, I think, if you were found badly, you would have made a negative comment on the restaurant also recommended by me.As I said, Fontane Bianche is a summer seaside resort, before the season the owners do gardening to fix the villas and this is very normal, they're sorry for this, perhaps from your areas do not make gardening work or gardeners using chain saws with silencer … As for the tractor and algae: the beaches are cleaned before the start of the Summer and polish the own early in the morning because after must be free for swimmers and tourists ... what else to say, perhaps you would have preferred the dirty beach! The smell of a tractor that cleans the beach (1 km long) for an hour or two makes the air unbreathable all day? What to say ... I did not see smokestacks nearby! Another thing, in Sicily you begin to work early in the morning (from 7.30 approx) because during the day, even in this period, it's hot enough. And in any case, all this is it the fault of the owner of the house? If your intention had been constructive and not destructive, perhaps they could comment on the same things but in a very different way and in a positive ways. In life there are things that depend on us and others that do not depend on us. Anyway thank you for your comments anyway because for me will be used to try to improve the part that depends on me, for the rest I rely on good judgment and courtesy of travelers. Have a nice trip.

What a stunning beach to relax at in Sicily. This is very close to Siracusa and stunning Noto and Modica. A very special part of Sicily and Antonio's villa is right on the beach! Well appointed inside, but you will need a car to get around if you want to see the sights. A great holiday destination!

The location of this villa is superb, situated at the entrance to the public section of Fontane Bianca beach it provides easy access to both swimming and people watching! The beach is great for swimming but can get very crowded especially at weekends. The house itself is a good size and architecturally stylish and comes with all of the equipment needed for cooking and dining. We had some difficulties initially with expected check out times and non availability of air con controls but Antonio responded quickly and agreeably to our requests so these annoyances were resolved without too much hassle. Unfortunately the furnishings do not match the quality of location or architecture with very uncomfortable seating and beds inside and mainly plastic garden furniture outside. Both bedrooms contained 1 x double and 1 x single beds which did provide the listed accommodation for 6 but limits the type of groups that could use the accommodation - this was not a major issue for our group of 4. The wifi was dongle based with slow and very intermittent service usually available only at night or early morning. As mentioned by another reviewer there is a pet farm next door which has a cockerel that does what cockerels do at dawn and dusk, we also had builders working on a house nearby that added drilling and banging to the mix but that isn't anything that Antonio can control. Overall we enjoyed our stay and made good use of the beach, based on the price we would recommend this villa with some reservations.

Lovely place! The location is hard to beat as the house is only a few steps off the beach. Everything is available in the house and it is actually bigger than the pictures suggest. Antonio is a friendly guy and the reception was friendly and adequate. All in all a truely lovely villa with a worldclass view over a Sicilian bay.

Antonio waited for us in the main street to guide us to the holiday home. We had a wonderful week : the holiday home was exactly what we had hoped for:lying next to the beach, nice view and weather. Antonio had put some wine, water , coffee and milk … for us . This made us feel very welcome. He put some furniture outside so we could eat and sit on the terraces and enjoy the view and sun. You find everything you need on walking distance from the home: a coffee bar, a small shop, restaurants… and very friendly people. Also Noto and Syracuse are very close and worth a visit.
