Walk in and feel at home straight away! Our family calls it "EasyWorld" as it sounds like the village name "Iseltwald" and life there is just so easy in every way. It is warm (both in feel and temperature), spacious, incredibly cosy, the big oval bath is always calling your name and you can always find a spot to feel comfortable even in large groups. Games, cooking, chilling, TV watching, book reading, view gazing, skiing, swimming, hiking...it is all possible and it is just so EASY!!!

The space
A penthouse chalet with four wrap around balconies in a village that is regularly voted as one of the most beautiful in Switzerland. The three double rooms have queen sized beds with en-suite bathrooms. Upstairs you can find a spacious kids room with 2 single beds and 2 pull out beds on a base. The mezzanine also has a single bed and allows a great view on the space itself. It is incredibly warm, the views have been described as mesmerising (by my nephew) and it is just an incredibly comfy spot to be in. We find it offers the best of both worlds depending on what you wish for. Whether it be extensive skiing domains and adrenaline filled activities and/or gentle walks, amazing scenery, restaurants and chilling out. Our family have owned it since it was built in 2008 and always look forward to being able to recharge our batteries in no time at all in such an amazing setting.

It is also worth noting that we have had previous guests who are wheelchair users as it is a completely step free access from the garage, to the lift and throughout all the main floor (including the three double bedrooms and the balconies) of the chalet.

Guest access
Guests can access all parts of our penthouse apartment except for our Swiss cupboard in the entrance, one area locked up in the attic for our personal belongings and our small study. We have also put a lock on our linen cupboard. Otherwise, the area is yours to enjoy!

Other things to note
You will need to use the main house key to access the underground garage. Details on how to enter and locate the two parking spaces will be explained during check-in. There is a also a local shop with all the essentials you need a one minute walk from our chalet. Note that it is closed on Sundays.

Neighbourhood highlights

Regularly voted as one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland, Iseltwald sits on the lake of Brienz. It is surrounded by stunning hiking paths (to suit all levels) with mountains on all sides. It is only a 10 minute drive to Interlaken or you can take the local bus 103 direct from the village to Interlaken Ost/West. Bus rides are free for our guests by using our tourist passes.
For the skiers among you, the skiing domains of Grindelwald, Wengen, Murren and Lauterbrunnen are within a 30 minute drive or easier still you can take the train direct from Interlaken Ost. We are in the world renowned Jungfrau region boasting the Eiger and the highest point in Europe reachable by train called the Jungfraujoch. The village has two excellent restaurants (StrandHotel and Chalet du Lac) as well as a local shop offering all the essentials you may need. The lake is something to behold as its turquoise blue colour makes it feel almost tropical.

Hello! I am a veterinarian who has a passion for animal nutrition and preventative health management. This is our family holiday home which we have owned since it was built in 2008. You will find it incredibly comfortable, modern, warm and ideally located for both winter and summer fun. We have the entire top floor of the chalet and made it quite different by combining both apartments into one very large apartment with plenty of light throughout. We are new to Air BnB but hope you will love our home as much as we do!
