A double room in a quiet residential area in Kyle of Lochalsh. A spacious room with a sea view overlooking the Isle of Skye, the Coolins and MacLeod's tables. Great base for Skye, Plockton and Lochalsh.
This room with the sea view is perfect for families ( I also have a single room available). The bathroom, which is occasionally shared with one other guest, has a bath with a shower over it. WiFi internet, a coal stove in the living room to make you feel cosy. There is a lovely garden to the back of the property.
The house is close to all amenities.
Guests will be able to access the living room and the bathroom (shared with one other guest) .Tea/coffee making facilities (kettle, selection of tea and coffee, milk and sugar) and a toaster are in the living room.
WiFi is available, but please be considerate of other people using it as too many devices will slow it down.
The guests will not be able to access the kitchen, which is strictly private, and no cooking facilities are available. Although the guests are expected to eat out or bring take-away meals (I will provide the dishes and cutlery on request), there is a small fridge where they can keep some food in the living room.
Interaction with guests
I am happy to chat with guests and will give advice on the places to visit on the area.
As a qualified English (ESL) teacher, I am happy to provide English tuition for speakers of other languages. Please feel free to ask me for details about my courses.
Other things to note
The house is a family home and, in this way, different from a traditional B&B or a hotel. We treat our guests as friends and do our best to show them the way local people live.
If you are used to stay in hotels and require the same level of service, our house may not be a suitable place for you to stay.
Simple continental buffet-breakfast is included in the price (cereal, milk, bread, jam, butter and tea/coffee.
The house is strictly non smoking and pets are not allowed.
The kitchen is strictly private. (No guest access).
House key is not provided. ( I am at home most of the time, but please let me know your plans and I will make sure you don't get locked out).
The check-in time is after 4.30pm on week days and after 6.30 on Saturdays and Sundays. The check-out time is 10 am. The guests staying longer than one night should be back before 11pm.
We are happy to accept children over 5 (please book the single room for them if you are a couple), but unfortunately the accommodation is not suitable for babies.
We don't take extra guests. ( Two people maximum is the double room and one person in the single).
Only one bath is possible per night. The shower is not electric, so please be considerate of other people using the hot water.
