Hamish's Cottages is the perfect getaway on Norfolk Island, and suited our needs well. As a family group of six adults, we had everything we needed for a four night stay. Within walking distance (though we drove as it was steep) we did some of the walking tracks, and were a few minutes drive into Burnt Pine. Great shops and restaurants were there, but mostly we loved exploring the magnificent bays, beaches, views and the convict ruins. Paul's communication was excellent and we appreciated being met at the airport by a family member to guide us to the cottage. Hamish's Cottage was a very comfortable, well-equipped place to call home for our stay, and we highly recommend it!

Warm welcome after meeting us at the airport. The location suited us as we could easily access walks through the NI National Park and Downtown was a few minutes drive. This is a very quiet location and we enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely stay at Hamish's Cottages. The location is great, in the middle of the Island, making it easy to get to any of the attractions. The Cottage was very well equipt and cosy. The original island-style construction quaint and perfect for what we were after.

We had a lovely time at the cottages. The kitchen is well-equipped and a decent dining area. There are a couple of verandahs to sit out on which we used a lot. The one off the dining area was the coolest with good shade and breeze. The house is close to the National Park and we could access the Park quite easily from there by walking along the road for about a kilometre. Beds were comfortable and there's Foxtel to watch if you feel the need. House is a little dark with all the dark wood but there are 2 bathrooms in the main house which is good. Norfolk itself is a quirky, friendly place which is well worth visiting. There's easily enough to do for a week there even longer. You need a car from Hamish's to get around everywhere. The cottage is 1.7 kilometres to the village. My wife asked for a coffee plunger and Jenny brought one up straight away. The hosts put bowls of fruit out which was lovely. Watch out Norfolk Island is expensive though - provisions are about double Sydney prices but cafe's are reasonably priced consider goods are so expensive. Plenty of places to eat - try Hilli's restaurant and for generous café servings The Olive
