Description

The space

Bedroom:
Large private bedroom with a comfortable queen bed, nice fresh sheets and ample space for luggage. The room is tastefully decorated and has lots of afternoon sun. You will have access to your own modern well appointed bathroom with heated towel rail, bath, good pressure shower, toilet, as well as complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Our bedroom is diagonally opposite and we have our own en suite so you will have a measure of privacy. Photos will be uploaded shortly.

Living areas:
Our recently renovated open plan living/kitchen area is light and airy, with stunning sea views. Plenty of comfy spots to curl up and relax with a book, or research/plan your trip. We also have the bonus of a separate living room which allows for your own space if desired.

Guest access

Your guest room, and the living areas of the house.

Please help yourself to the tea and coffee making facilities in the kitchen, A light breakfast of muesli/toast will be available in the morning, and we ask that you please have takeaways for dinner or dine out at one of the lovely restaurants down the road.

Interaction with guests

We are friendly folk, happy to give advice, share a drink - or if you prefer to be left to your own devices, we are good at doing that too.

The neighbourhood

Situated in one of Christchurch's most loved hill suburbs, Redcliffs is quiet and peaceful - with great views.
Sumner Village and beach is a 20 minute walk from our place, which has a selection of great eatery's, galleries, nice boutique shops and a cinema.
We have our favourite go to restaurants/cafes catering to all budgets that we would be happy to share with you! There's lots of walks/hikes, surfing spots, golfing, farmers markets, the Gondola, and Lyttelton Harbour all close by.

Plenty of safe street parking.

Getting around

We are about a 30 minute drive from the airport and 15 minute drive from the CBD. You can catch the Sumner bus (no.3) and stop in Redcliffs village, we are then a short (but steep) walk up the hill.

Other things to note

We have a Labradoodle named Ferg, he is a gorgeous wee thing and is very friendly. He is hypoallergenic (doesn't shed any hair) so should be fine with allergies, but we will keep him out of your way.

We both work full time and are likely to be in and out during your stay, but please make yourself at home!

Our stay with Lucy, Sam and Ferg was amazing! They were so welcoming and lovely! The house is incredible with an amazing view and a very warm dry feeling about it! I will definitely be recommending this place to all of my friends and family and I will be using this place every time I go down to Christchurch!!

I am originally from the UK and I've lived in NZ for 10 years, I am currently working in a boutique architectural office and have a background in art, design and fashion. My husband Sam and I purchased this house in its damaged state and have spent the last 2years lovingly repairing it to its former glory! Our interests are great food and wine, music, water sports, exploring this beautiful country and strong coffee!
