This is the smaller second room of the Garden House in Central Arusha. It has a private veranda & entrance with a shared bathroom. A spacious garden, WiFi and secure parking are there for you to enjoy.

We can connect you with an excellent driver-guide who can take you on safari in his comfortable and well-maintained stretch Landcruiser. We also will recommend a very good tour operator who can book domestic flights and accommodation as well as cultural tours for you.

The space

This room has a comfortable double bed with mosquito netting, a night table with books and shelves. You have a private verandah and entrance and direct access to a shared bathroom. As it faces West the verandah is a shady place to relax in the morning and a sunny place to enjoy later in the day. If you are interested in a little larger room with a queen sized bed, check out 'Lovely Private Room Central Arusha'. This is the other room in the garden house.

Guest access

You have access to our large garden where you can relax, use the wifi and have a closer look at the flowering shrubs and trees.

Interaction with guests

We are happy to interact with guests when they wish to do so, your privacy will also be respected.

Other things to note

There is plenty to do in and around Arusha. We can suggest places to see. Our garden is a lovely place to relax as well. We encourage you to stay more than one night.

We have two friendly little dogs.

This is the best of the best in Airbnb. Daatih and Linda went out of their way to make us feel welcome, to offer advice and assistance at every turn. The accommodation is lovely, and it is easy to walk into town. There are great places to eat within walking distance, and then a beautiful garden to relax in. Ask Linda to arrange a day at Terengu Cultural Tourism for you, it was excellent. This place felt like home, and was a more authentic experience than if we'd stayed in a hotel.

Daatih and Linda are wonderful hosts. There are various bookings for the garden house on Airbnb, which was somewhat confusing. I ended up booking the smaller bedroom, which consisted only of a bed. As the larger bedroom was available, I was easily able to upgrade to that room, which had a desk - and was very nice, as was the bathroom. The garden house is quiet and pretty, and guests also have access to the kitchen of the main house, where a self-serve breakfast is offered. The location is excellent - walking distance to town, and near two large hotels, but tucked away in a quiet residential area with a garden. I was able to come and go as I needed without any problem, and the property is well staffed and secure. I only spent one night here, but appreciated the flexibility and hospitality of Daatih and Linda and plan to return my next time in Arusha.

I only had the pleasure of staying at Daatih's home for one night, but had a lovely stay! I was welcomed by the guard and cleaning woman when I arrived in the afternoon. Due to a change in booking I ended up staying in a room in the main house, which was well-equipped and comfortable. The property as a whole feels secluded -- I so enjoyed sitting in the garden area with the dogs -- yet is very central, walkable, and easy to find from the clocktower area. Daatih's mother, Linda, was around during my stay and was very helpful in getting me settled, answering questions about the area, and making me feel totally comfortable and at home. I especially appreciated the provision of breakfast supplies which made my early morning departure a breeze. Small touches, like a glass bottle of drinking water or a neatly-wrapped bar of soap in my room, made my stay extra special. I'll be back!

This was our second stay with Linda and Daatih after our safari (we could leave part of our luggage here during the safari which was very helpful) and once again, it was absolutely perfect in every way. Linda and Daatih are fantastic hosts, very accommodating and their home is cosy and incredibly welcoming, and very well situated in the city, close to good cafés and restaurants and within walking distance of the centre (5 minutes). The garden is wonderful to lounge around in too. This is a top ten bed & breakfast! Thank you again for a perfect stay.

We've had a comfortable stay at Daatih's place. We met with Linda and she advised us on where to get cash and some places to eat. The b&b is in a beautiful garden in a very nice and quiet neighboorhoud, whilst still being very central.

Daatih User ProfileDaatih is a superhost.

I am a free-spirited person and I love to meet new people I enjoy spending time with my two wonderful kids. I was born in Tanzania and was raised by mother who lives in the main house. Currently I am pursuing further studies and living close by with my partner and kids but if needed, I manage to come and make sure my guests are well. Together we try to provide a wonderful experience for everyone who stays with us and in turn have had many very positive experiences.
