Peace and quiet

Guests say this home is in a quiet area.
It’s camping with a few comfy extras.

Come live the simple life at Wild Earth Farm with soft sheets and a memory foam mattress.

Our 14 foot yurt is a tiny oasis from the hustle and bustle of every day life.

Your door looks out over the edge of one of our pastures where you might see our organic cow herd or Icelandic sheep flock grazing.

The space
Welcome to glamping, aka glorified camping. The yurt is a wonderful and fancy tent. It's for adventurous spirits who like a little comfort. Emphasis on the “little”, this is still a camping experience with things like a composting toilet and a 40 step trek from yurt to bathroom.

When it’s chilly, you’ll be kept warm by 2 heaters. It can keep it quite warm down to about 15 degrees outside. Then you’ll want an extra sweater or two. There is a heated blanket for those extra cold nights.

The Wild Earth Yurt is 14 feet in diameter and offers a queen sized memory foam mattress, two cozy chairs, and a bench to place your things. There is one spare outlet for charging electronics.

Location:
1. Two miles of Rt 89
2. 9 mins to Randolph with restaurants, cafes, and shops
3. 30 min to Montpelier, 1 hour to Burlington, 45 min to Woodstock
4. 23 min to our favorite restaurant of all time, Worthy Burger!

Things to Do in the Area:
1. Our town of Randolph (9 min away) is a hidden gem with cute shops, cafes, and restaurants. Catch a movie at our adorable one-room movie theater. Real butter on the popcorn!
2. Take a class at White River Art Center
3. Get a maple creemee at Silloway Maple (1 mile away!)
4. Jump on the trail system at the back of our farm for a nice hike, snowshoe, or ski
5. Head to Montpelier for the best thai food in the world, or our favorite sourdough pizza.

The kitchenette/bath house, about 40 steps from the yurt, features a composting toilet and small shower with great water pressure. There is a microwave, small fridge, and a table to eat at. There are no cooking facilities other than the microwave.

The kitchen/bath is private to yurt guests, you don’t have to share it with anyone else.

The view from the fire pit is one of our very favorites on the farm. This is a fantastic place to use as base camp for adventures or to just come and fully relax for night or two.

Please Note: Due to the nature of our farm and the animals working on it, we are not able to host any animals including service animals. This is to keep our animals (and yours!) safe and happy. Thank you for understanding.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the yurt. It is a couple hundred feet away from the back of the farm house which is also rented out on Airbnb.

Parking is right at the yurt in the summertime.

The door to the yurt of located on the opposite side of the house so there is plenty of privacy.

Farm tours available for an extra fee.

Please Note: Due to the nature of our farm and the animals working on it, we are not able to host any animals including service animals. This is to keep our animals safe and happy. Thank you for understanding!

Other things to note
The yurt is located a couple hundred feet from the road, which turns to dirt at our driveway. Traffic is pretty low but there is occasionally noise.

The bathroom is located about forty steps from the yurt. There is a sink, composting toilet, and a shower.

The composting toilet requires you to sit down no matter your sex. If you stand while urinating it will make an icky mess and you will be charged a $100 cleaning fee.

Like a tent, the yurt doesn't have a lock on it. You pull a simple cord to exit the yurt.

We have two friendly farm dogs, a border collie and a Great Pyrenees, Moss and Otto. If you don’t like dogs, this is not the place to stay. On the other hand, if you do, you'll adore them.

Maximum 2 guests and no visitors are allowed.

If you arrive after 9pm our phones will be on Airplane mode and we won’t be available to help you.

My work: Owner at Wild Earth Farm
Lives in Randolph, Vermont
I just bought my dream farm in Vermont with my sweet lover. We are raising grass-fed beef and Icelandic lamb on a silvopasture system on our 143 acres. I’ve always wanted to host people on Airbnb and I’m so excited to be here!
